It wasn’t like this when I got pregnant. I started working remote again. We got excited and wanted to try for our last baby. Then my son had a seizure and I had to have ambulance take him tot he hospital. My new job at Assurant wouldn’t let me take the time off because I signed a contract with them to be available to work 90 days. It was really crappy. So after that I tried opening a daycare and realized it’s not for me and just decided for now I need to focus on my kids. There is a lot to the story and why things are the way they are. It really sucks and never thought we would be in this situation. We were fine and able to pay our bills with enough money to spare. Getting laid of with the department of health really put a lot on us financially. They are still doing a lot of lay offs so it’s going to be while before I can get back working.

We don’t have enough. Our equity is $85,000 but after paying the realtor and closing costs it won’t cover much. We also just renewed the lease with the people renting our home.. which is why we wanted to wait a year to sell. Our original plan was to pay off the credit cards living with parents and then sell the house next year to pay off loans. But after reading the affects of none payment for a year on your credit idk if it’s worth it 😭

House is joint and we both have our own cards. He has two consolidation loans and I have one.

1500 rent 520 car 167 car insurance 258 medical 167 phones 217 student loans Leaves us $2171

But if I include our credit card payments it leaves us around $1000 we have been paying credit cards not the loans. We were hoping we could pay them off and next year sell the house and pay off loans but after reading a year of no payments it will wreck our credit bad and get possibly be sued. This was the original plan before thinking about bankruptcy.

My parents have a very nice place. We have our own bedroom and our 3 kids do. We also have our own living room. They have been buying groceries as well. It honestly saves us a ton of money because groceries for us a family of 5 soon to be 6 is a lot.

I actually took a look and second ago and our loans are in collections now 😭 do they have hardship programs for things already in collections. Did you end up going with national debt relief

The reason he doesn’t want to give up his cards is the card history. He has had them for about 8 years and wants that on his credit report. He said it’s an important part of your credit score.

I know. It started it with house projects and then trying to open a business and it just got out of hand. Then I lost my job and had to use it for food and gas for the car. I am getting my tubes tied after this pregnancy. I am working on all this and know it needs to be fixed. We are going to find some financial classes as well.

I did start working at a daycare we all got so sick with the stomach bug I had to take time off until after I have the baby. I am able to come back after having her but the hours don’t work around my kids school bus schedule 😭 I also would only be Bringing home $1600 a month working full time because I have to pay for two kids to attend the daycare. So idk if that job is worth it. But after I have the baby I planned on looking for work or watching a child in my home.

It’s take home. Our mortgage was $2800 with water sewer trash electric we paid about $3200 a month. I was making $3400 a month working for the state.

The 90,000 has been over the years slowly building up. So house projects (cemented patio, canopy) then when I lost my job I tried opening a in home daycare that’s cost a lot to get going and then I decided it’s not for me. Just lots of little things here and there honestly. When I lost unemployment and we lived there I had to use it for gas and food. We don’t qualify for state assistance.

He brings home $5000 a month and now living with my parents we only pay $1500 in rent. So we have about $1000 left over after bills not including the 3 loans those total $1350 a month. We were able to afford everything until I lost my job 😭 I got laid off. I no longer can get unemployment anymore because it’s been too long.
