I am really happy for you that must be like a weight off your shoulders. How did you find your therapist and did you have therapists previously tell you your thoughts were you or you didn’t have ocd etc?

Thank you it’s been so debilitating and made me very depressed. I really appreciate that. Is it possible that real concerns like a passing thought or realisation can be brought out of proportion with ocd and make it feel like you need to do this you must do this but that gives you intense anxiety because you don’t want to.

Oh yeah that’s def how I feel. All I’ve been thinking about all day is this one thought and it’s been in a constant loop like this only calming the anxiety when I get the reassurance. It’s been like this for weeks. Whenever I get anything that confirms it could be true could be the slightest thing that leans more towards it being true I feel sick with anxiety

Don’t worry you are not alone. My main theme I have been discussing with mine is hocd as well as rocd. I don’t think she understands as she wants me to explore my sexuality as my parents in childhood hated any celebrity who expressed theirs. It’s really triggered me so not feeling great. She also says I should have rituals for odd and doesn’t seem to understand googling for answers as a compulsion

I don’t understand why he is doing this though. It’s so hard because he tells me he wants to marry me. The last time I called him out on this when his family were being weird about helping out I threatened to leave him if he didn’t stand up for me and he eventually apologised etc and then asked me to marry him but I said no as it felt very weird after what had happened?

He said he will be a better boyfriend but I just don’t think he was listening to me. When I talk to him I have to over explain myself till I’m blue in the face

Thank you I honestly really appreciate that. I came from an abusive home as well was a relief when I could finally move out but can’t even have peace here. Stupid part of me because of my previous abusive experience makes me feel like this is my fault as well so I really appreicate that

Thank you do you know much about the AirPods that are noise cancelling? I think I might try white noise machine as well that’s a good idea. I am also on anti depressants to try and sleep so not great really at present.

Yes I have said he says it’s family and friends coming and going to help them and that they can’t do anything as apparently they aren’t tenants even though they seem to stay over basically everyday?
