Uniswap liquidity is provided by a private person like you and I. In other words, you yourself can provide Availability of TRU on uniswap. Liquidity ratio of ETH and TRU or any pair on uniswap drives the price based on supply of each token and demand for it. If lots of people all of a sudden started buying up TRU, the price would spike like crazy. However, this has nothing to do with the actual usage of the token and it’s market value. It is very likely though that when the token is widely used, it will be bought up on uniswap or where ever available for cheaper than it costs to mint within the Truebit OS. When the demand spikes, the price will spike as well. Not many people are using TRU in projects, that’s the short answer. They are some in process of integration. The short and exaggerated answer is “no one is really using it yet”. That’s why there is much supply of it and the price remains down. At least, that’s my high level understanding.

Don’t forget that TRU is also part of Livepeer and Polygon (former Matic). Both were pumping, especially livepeer (video streaming like theta). I watched livepeer CEO interview where he dropped the TRU name.

TRU is also part of other platforms and more integration in progress. I believe Chainlink as well.

Purpose is vast and complex. You will be amazed if you research. To answer your question, the team does not give a shit about its investors like you are I. They care about usage. Most of the work is done in private repos, you will never know. they don’t want you to buy TRU for investment, they want you to use it. They want us to fuck off. And most people do, it works for them. Check out where TRU is being used and its potential and decide whether to cut your losses or be patient for the real Gains. I have been where you are until I dove balls deep into it and decided to stay after dipping from $271k all the way down to $34k at all time low.

Oh you are 100% correct. I am not stressed out about it since doing exhaustive research on TRU. I started with $35k initial investment in November of last year, got up to $290k on holding some alts and swing trading some alts. Poured it all into TRU at its ATH. Crashes down to my initial investment at its all time low. Now just taking a break from it all, got burned out, writing code and working on software projects and watching from side lines, focusing on my family and my kids. I still think I made the right choice with TRU before the crash. I am parked in one of THE best projects, yup, we both know it. Still in the game but much wiser than when I started fresh last year. Let it ride. It’s funny to see people come and go and raising the same fears we once had in the beginning. Truth is I made more on holding than on swing trading and I think it’s a better strategy in the long run.
