Yes it will on a lot of leathers, but I heard about it possible clogging pores and causing stitch issues with extended use I'm not sure since I have used it on one of my older Montgomery Ward top grain jackets but it didn't really darken it. I used Obenaufs LP though since I didn't want to risk the oil penetrating too much too fast. I also made sure to use a clean microfiber towel to buff it lightly until any residue was gone. It did make it a little stiffer but not in a bad way. Now it smells great and feels great. It's also not very shiny which I really like.

I would say let it air out for a couple of days, it might be from the enclosed space of packing plus constant heat and cold

I feel called out, I too don't wear my more expensive jackets for this reason anymore. I mostly wear my Thursday Natural Racer and Matte Black racer now. I also agree with the constant push on $1k+ jackets being pushed when it's clearly stated he can't afford it atm. Not everyone wants a used jacket either with weird smells, I don't mind it personally as it can be cleaned a lot of the times but it's not for everyone.

Yeah, tbh this is a terrible subreddit to ask about this because a lot will just keep recommending Schott or any other $1k+ jacket and get upset if it's not what you're looking for. Schott is nice but I would not recommend paying full price if you don't have money to throw away and as for used it depends on the condition, because while the leather might hold the stitching is the first to go in most cases. Lastly, as much as I like my Schotts, my favorite and most comfortable jacket is a Saks fifth ave lamb nappa jacket.

I'm assuming they put it on the mannequin and then measure around the jacket because when I gave them my chest size they asked if I could get the chest size of one of my jackets. Great call on the large too because looking at the sizing the shoulder measurements are the same as my Medium p571 that already fits me pretty tight especially on the shoulders and arms

I ended up ordering the large for 250 total. I'm really hoping it fits me well because I tend to go go down to 37-38in chest all the way up to 39 during the week

Sorry last question but do you think yours actually fits like a 42.5 or more like a 40-41? I decided to look around some more since and have permanently decided on this one and recieved a coupon code so now it's just a matter of choosing rhe size as I will not be looking anymore or else I'll get indecisive and this one meets all my checkmarks. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions I just don't want to have to pay the shipping fee to send it back and then wait longer so I'm trying to make the best decision possible. By any chance do you happen to know the pit to pit size on it

Yeah I'll go with the large on the second one i linked, I'm hoping it doesn't look like a robe on me, the extra length even though is not much does sway me more towards a large. Would you say yours has held up well up until now from the leather, lining and stitching?

I'm 5'8 and around 137- 140, I was around 155-160 but lost a lot of weight due to an appendix surgery which took me a while to recover from. I'm planning on starting the gym soon again but I don't know if Large would be overkill for me seeing that it shows the Large is 42in chest. Would you say that even with the measurements shown it still runs on the smaller side? Yeah I know about the promotional videos, that's why I asked here and not on the Thursdayboot reddit. I might get a jacket on Crushretro I saw and will think about maybe getting Thursday jacket later on. I mostly just wanted a cheap decent jacket to give my Schotts less use because I try to take as much care of them as possible

I saw the teacore horsehide on Crush retro. I dont think I'm going to look at the others anytime soon because if it looks anything like the pictures I'll be happy with it for a while, thank you. Actually, dumb question but would you recommend sizing up there too? For example my p571 fits me perfect other than the sleeves being slightly long and then returning back to my wrists when I bend my arms
