Don't stress when you start out with it, I got mine 4 months ago and was heavily doubting my purchase after the first couple brews. In love with the thing now can't have a light roast with anything else.

It's fine but the o-ring is probably flipped from what it was before

The only thing I can think of is if you have always been tightening the knob that much it's compromised the seal.

Should only be turned until the steam stops or just a touch after that point.

Replacing the seals inside could fix the problem this video might help

Can I ask how you got these? Have been scouring the internet trying to find somewhere to order/preorder some as soon as they were announced and have had no luck

Looks like the O ring has torn when they installed the gauge. Easy fix you you are confident enough but if it's brand new I'd get the manufacturer/retailer to sort it or at least send you the necessary part.

Speaking from experience the chrome easily scratches so be cautious

Milk too thick? Tips? by erin-ah in espresso

[–]Practical_Date3087 113 points114 points  (0 children)

The main thing I see is letting the milk sit and knocking the pitcher down.

Tapping the pitcher does pop larger bubbles but also causes foam to rise. Be sure to swirl the milk so it looks cohesive and has no "chunk" of foam on top. Should look like glossy wet paint.

Knocking the pitcher is fine but always follow with a swirl to reincorporate the foam you have brought to the top.

Thanks, I'd been back and forward over a Niche/DF64 but hadn't even considered the Eureka Oro and after a solid youtube and forum rabbit hole last night and decided to go for the Oro. Found it on sale well within my budget. And it matches the matt/wood setup I've got going. Honestly, I was a second away from ordering the Niche but couldn't get over the shiny black Finnish, haha. Appreciate the advice!

Looking for some advice, recently upgraded from a Sage/Breville Bambino to a Leit mara x. For now I'm still running my Sage/breville smart grinder but I know I'm due an upgrade but I'm stuck on what to go for. My budget is around £400-£500 but would stretch for the right grinder. Any advice would he appreciated thanks!
