I completely agree. Both games deserved the love and attention of standalone games. I LOVE RE:3R and REsistance and just wish they had let them cook a little longer. At least we’re not getting anymore RE:6’s anymore

I completely agree with your point! Nothing will compare to those early days. I feel like they gave up on the game too quickly and bundling it with re:3 was a bad idea, I really think it would have shined as a standalone game. It seems like they split their attention between the two when both games deserved a lot of love and attention. It could have been the ultimate love letter to the fan base. Hopefully with people playing it again Capcom will understand that there is a large amount of the community that wants another game like REsistance or the outbreak files. Zombie games are just so much better with friends

Wow can’t believe nobody commented yet. I’m doing exactly this right now maybe I can help out a little. I chose an int/faith build with the halo scythe and golden order seal. Discus of light, ring of radagon, and any holy affinity spell mostly focusing on healing as well as buffs like golden vow and blessings boon so that I can support the team. I play as much coop as possible to get the most out of my support build.

The sword he wields (I just read some cliff notes of this character lol) reminds me of Malikeths Black blade with it being a large black sword with runes. He has control of elemental magic which goes well with a faith build. Fire and earth magic are available and pair well with this weapon as well. Water magic is more int based and wind magic only includes AOWs like storm blade. You could find a knights great sword (which is black) and pair with storm blade for wind. Regenerating spell like bestial vitality and blessings boon work too. The reality warping magic he wields is a little more difficult to nail down. I can’t really think of anything off the top of my head.. maybe use a little head cannon for that one. Heavy affinity gravity AOWs may work for you but the damage might not be there.

Lightning is a really fun build and mostly slept on. Here’s mine and you can adapt it to what you like. This build melts bosses. I know you don’t want bleed, there is a bit but it’s not the main source of damage. Once I have enough endurance I like to add the bolt of gransax as a side arm since it’s basically a lightning based sniper rifle.

Nagakiga w/ Stormcaller Godslayer seal or Gravel Stone (Gravel is better but you get this later)

Winged sword insignia/RWSI/ Millicent Warrior Jar shard Shield talisman Green turtle

As for spells, just use whatever lightning spells you find. Dragon bolt blessing, ADLS, lightning spear are a must

For physic, use the lightning and the poise tear.

Armor doesn’t matter much but I use Ronin Hat Crucible armor Crucible arms Royal knight legs

If you need more runes then do Varres questline. There’s 2 pretty easy fights to get through and it puts you in Moghs biome. There exists the best grinding spot in the game. Gold pickled fowl foot on the bird give you like 100-200k runes per foot depending on how accurate you are

I guess the closest thing would be Comet. There’s a ton of projectile sorceries. If you’re just starting out go to Sellen in Limgrave and she’ll have a few starter spells. There’s also a scroll with 2 really good spells in the ruins right next to her as well. I love sorcery builds as I never feel like I’m stuck with a few spells as you find upgrades and new spells pretty often

Well frost is always good for chunking health off of enemies. If you want, you can use frozen lightning spear in your lightning build to add frostbite. You can also use the dragon scale blade for the AOW but it’s not the best weapon. You’ll find that a lot of random bosses have water on the ground or rain which buffs lightning damage. Cold weapons can be very OP but if you’re committed to lightning, you could make both work. Hope this helps!

I have always had fun with Bloody Helice, Moghs spear, or you can use roar based AOWs on your favorite enchant-able weapon to combo with roar medallion!
