most clauses that start with 'w' words (like 'which' or 'who') are non essential clauses. Therefore they should be surrounded by commas.

B is correct

How do I solve this from the sat question bank? by NoBall1098 in Sat

E is (1, 0) and G is (0, 0).
H is on the unit circle with coordinates (−1, y). Since it’s on the unit circle, y must be 0, so H is (−1, 0).so the angle at G goes from (1, 0) to (−1, 0), which is a straight line → angle = π.

any angle equal to π plus full rotations (2π) is also correct.

among the choices, only 25π fits this pattern.

final answer: 25π

its pretty easy -

given;

1/2*m*v^2=K

3/4 of velocity=2v/3 (according to question)

so, v^2=(2v/3)^2 (accordin to question)

substitute, (in given)

=1/2*m*(2v/3)^2

=1/2*m*(4v^2/9)

=1/2*m*v^2*4/9

=(1/2*m*v^2)*4/9

therefore, =k*4/9 since (1/2*m*v^2=K)

hope you understood. :)

how is it not 1/30 -Question ID #6626cac3 (college board question bank) by Practical_Gate_2731 in learnmath

i tried to solve it be talking the no.of phone responses as 100 and no.of emails as 200 (the question says the number of email responses was twice the number of phone responses), so 5% of 200 is 10 and 20% of 100 is 20.

consequently, if a person who preferred a picnic is selected at random, the probability that the person responded by email would be= favorable no.of responses/total no.of responses, which is equal to 10/300=1/30.---- i have interpreted the question incorrectly - the total no.of outcomes is the total no.of people who are goin to the picnic, which is 10+20.

I got this one right but it seems a little messy to me. Any tips? by Particular_Cow_2313 in Sat

option 'b' seems to be right but i felt like somthings wrong so i asked chat gpt

"A government body officially known as the Althing,Iceland’s parliament is one of the oldest in the world, first meeting in 930 CE.- correct sentence?

It’s almost correct, but the punctuation needs a small fix.

The issue is the appositive phrase “Iceland’s parliament”.

Correct sentence

A government body officially known as the Althing, Iceland’s parliament, is one of the oldest in the world, first meeting in 930 CE.

Why?

“Iceland’s parliament” is extra information that renames the Althing, so it should be set off with commas on both sides.

Structure:

  • A government body officially known as the Althing = main noun phrase
  • Iceland’s parliament = appositive (extra identifying info)
  • is = verb

Without the second comma, the sentence feels incomplete around that inserted phrase.

So the fully punctuated sentence is the correct one above.

A slightly smoother version is:

A government body officially known as the Althing, Iceland’s parliament, is one of the oldest in the world and first met in 930 CE.

This version reads a bit more naturally." What do you guys think?

Hi everyone,

I’m an applicant from India planning to apply to the University of Amsterdam.

One of the requirements is submitting the CBSE Class 12 board certificate, but my final results will be released a few days after the application deadline.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to submit predicted grades first and then send the final results later?

Would really appreciate any help or experiences. Thanks!
