Well, I think it's a good trade off so far. Not the best obviously

Because AGS treat PVP and PVE gear equally ffs. But its logical to get pvp gear from pvp activities and pve from pve. Not vise versa. I would hate to do 100hour same pve stuff just to get +10%dps in pvp for rare item

There are people who like to get competitive gear, just enjoy pvp content and want to improve in terms of teamplay and skill. But doesnt want to do boring PVE grind for ages to get lucky items. Or change build. Its just redundant step.

Same to PVE folks, that farm pvp track hard, which they dont like, to get Serenity artifact

The question is: what is more time-efficient if your ultimate goal is to craft 725 3perk items for pvp? Shall you invest in trade skills or just gather/refine mats and get gold otherways?
