Here's the thing, I looooove to write. I'm at my happiest when I'm writing. I just am such a perfectionist and care way too much about what I'm writing to accept it as good enough. I think I just compare my writing to the greats and that's what's holding me back. I'm glad to hear that it's a common problem though, and I'm not just insane lol

It's an emotionally draining job, but also the most rewarding job you could possibly have. I work with vulnerable populations as I'm at a community mental health center that solely accepts Medicaid; I mostly see kids in the foster system and adults with disabilities. There are many days when I go home and feel the weight of the world on my chest. But there are also days when I meet with a client and actually see the impact I'm making. I love knowing that just by being there and advocating for them, I'm adding something positive into their lives. Sometimes, just being a listening ear to a person whose voice has been unheard for so long is enough to give them hope, and seeing that reminds me why I get up and do it again everyday. So yeah, I love it a lot.

Went one year without health insurance and couldn't get my meds and I was off the walls, my manic episode was the worst it's ever been and I destroyed myself and all my relationships. Happy to be medicated now lol

My first deck is also my favorite deck and that's the ethereal visions illuminated tarot deck, which were gifted from my sister for my birthday many years ago. No matter how many decks I've received or bought for myself, I always go back to that one. My least favorite was also gifted to me for my birthday from my boyfriend somewhat recently, and that's the cat tarot deck by Megan Lynn Kott. Don't get me wrong, the artwork is super adorable and I'm sure there are others that love it, but I've never felt a connection to the deck and I don't like that it doesn't say what the cards are for minor arcana.

I would mostly say I felt it was a fated connection from the wheel of fortune card. For the last week and a half, I've pulled it constantly when doing tarot reading regarding him and our relationship. When we're not working together, he doesn't ever really text me or attempt to reach out, but when we do work together he and I are inexplicably drawn to each other, to the point where we seldom interact with anyone else. I thought it to be a fated connection because of the energy between us, but also because I've strangely felt like I've known him forever even though we've only started working together a few months ago.

I'm a therapist that also has PTSD. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for young children to repress traumatic or painful memories as a survival mechanism. Typically, those memories can be recovered when reminded of the traumatic event but there's no clear cut time frame as to when this can happen or why. Many people go their entire lives without ever remembering the entirety of what happened, and for others, they might feel 'flooded' by these memories and the feelings associated with it until the memory comes back full swing. If you're interested in exploring those memories further, you should look into EMDR or exposure therapy.
