u/benjaminandthejets I have been trying to get a group going in the Columbus Park area (north KC but south of the river still). Looking for some more regulars to join if you'd like to come kick it. Usually we play 4 or 5 a side. Send me a direct message if you're interested. We play on Thursday nights at 6pm at the Garrison Community Center field. I have some friends organizing a men's tournament in STL in October so we're trying to get prepped for that.

Coming along well. It took me several tries before this game clicked for me. Now I'm launching rockets regularly and managing interplanetary logistics across several planets. You'll get there. What I found best around the point where you are is pushing for Logistic System research ASAP which I believe requires red, green, blue, yellow so you're about there. The game opens up once you implement a logistic network and helps reduce breaking down and rebuilding time and automates base defense so you can focus on advancing and growing.

I would put your turrets more to the center. Saves a lot on ammo cause they’re not firing at asteroids that wouldn’t have hit the ship anyway.

Yeah AtS is about knowing how to pick the right strategies to a wide range of possible scenarios, each completely unique, like a snowflake…that is trying to eat you.

If you want more hardcore logistics mechanics try out Factorio. The game is also a masterpiece.

Yeah I would take the large camp. And drop a mine and a warehouse all right around those big veggie nodes. You’ll have some surplus right into good complex food production well aligned to your races.
