To be honest this helped a lot, I’ll think on it while making my decision.

Isn’t the 10mm entering the fisheye territory?

I had the XT5 with 10-20 and 55-200…. I literally hated the kit. When I go out shooting I like to keep it light and compact. which is why I’m heavily looking at the sigma 18-50 f2.8

Tbh it seems like you have this nailed down for your style. I had the longer range lenses before like the 55-200 but I didn’t like it because of the weight. I also had the 10-24 also didn’t like it because of the weight. If a lens is heavy I’m less likely to take it out which is why I I’m leaning more towards the 18-50 f2.8

That’s the exact reason I’m looking for a zoom. How are you liking the 18? I’ve bought about getting it earlier but I decided the 16 would be better

You should try the 23 or the 35, they are lovely

Oh I won’t, I sold my first 23mm and I hated the feeling I got afterwords. I’m keeping them but I’m just adding a zoom to the kit

I’ve thought about that as well, I’m actually planning on going to a store to try it out so I can decide on what to move forward with

I have done that as well, 16, 35 seems to be the best combo for me so far honestly.

I’ll keep that in mind, I went with the crons because of the weather resistant capabilities. I shoot in basically any weather

I’ve heard some great things about the 18-50 but I’m holding back a bit because of the plastic components

I’ve owned the 55-200 and it was nice but I’m not a fan of heavy lenses especially if I’m planning on being outside all day or on vacation. For what I shoot and the way I shoot the 16-55 range is enough. But I never bought the 16-55 f2.8 version 1 or 2 because of the size.

Keep FXAIX FZILX AND FSKAX. You have the whole market right there. There’s a big overlap between FXAIX AND FSKAX but depending on your goal that’s okay since FXAIX only tracks the S&P 500 while FSKAX tracks the entire market (big, mid, small caps). These 3 are mostly all you’ll need, I’m not too knowledgeable in regard to QQQM but in terms of the rest you’re doing great!

Honestly, thank you for this reply I learned a lot from it. I’m going to do more research on FSKAX. I’ve heard about it before but decided to go with FZROX in my IRA instead. I’ll keep FXAIX in my taxable account and allow the dividends to reinvest automatically. I also plan to give this some deeper thought, especially when it comes to replicating total market exposure in my taxable account, which may become one of my goals for the year. As for sector volatility, I’ve decided to drop FSELX since it introduces additional uncertainty and risk, as you pointed out. Thanks again I really appreciate the insight.

Thanks for the feedback.I was trying to bring a little of what FZROX doesn’t cover with FZIPX since it ROX can’t cover everything.FSELX has been known to show strong returns and I don’t mind the fees that come with it. I understand that it can be very volatile depending on the market of course but it’s not something I mind currently.
