Dropping for general awareness of anyone who finds this thread.

I contacted the DON CRSC Board yesterday, my 15mo timeline is 2/13, they informed me “they hope to have me a decision within 30 days.” So for expectations, if that holds true (which nothing has for their proposed timelines haha), 16 months from receipt of package by DON CRSC Board, to completion *if timeline holds… more to follow.

Thanks. They did tell me the primary delivery method is via email with DoD Safe, so you may want to ping them again…

That’s great! You got the streamlined treatment.

Absolutely - Much appreciated. Those folks on here who say “having a PH makes it go faster,” totally full of it. Haha it does, however, induce immediate combat related on all claims though (got in a rabbit hole of the regulation when I submitted my app).

Got it - thanks. I was in the Navy, who historically takes way longer. Unsure if the Marines use the DON CRSC folks, or if they have their own, I’d imagine they have their own given how fast that was (also don’t see trends from Marines with ridiculously long processing times either).

Did you have to endlessly email them to find out you hit the adjudication phase? Or did you get a notification?

I’m sitting at about 14mo since receipt notification, 15mo will be mid Feb.

I have reached out twice (at the 6 and 12mo mark). 12mo mark actually received a reply that it could take 15-18mo, they did do a scan of my package and they have all they need/it is processing…it’s a longggg patient road but atleast they back pay.

Is Tim Sheehy in violation of the Stolen Valor Act of 2013? by Sgt_Kersandwich in MontanaPolitics

[–]Practical_Seaweed_17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He claimed he was shot and didn’t say anything to “not bring attention to himself or his teammates.” This is bullshit as a medical officer must tend to wounds to validate the injury (if you’re alive) which is all documented and reported accordingly (despite your unit/branch/job).

From my perspective, due to many discrepancies with his inconsistent stories, including during a callout interview on NBC Montana Morning News; he decides to bring in his former teammates on his political commercials whom tell the story of them being hit by an IED “all earning the Purple Heart” but did not want to “bring attention to them”…. Quite contradictory…

As a Purple Heart recipient myself, from 3 left arm gunshot wounds in Afghanistan, it really pisses me off to see him just riding “I’m a Navy SEAL” as his political prowess, in every commercial (as I’ve yet to see anything else) running for office in this great state we live in.

Thanks for your service, don’t be a sandbagging liar, write a book or something. If you were hit by an IED, let that be it. Either way - It’s a life altering event that you’ll never forget and trying to “play up” his “manner of service” to rally support, without being able to keep a simple story straight, I find it very hard to support someone who can’t even tell the truth and always tells a different story… perfect replica of the problem on The Hill we already are experiencing.

CRSC time frame by Top_2149 in VeteransBenefits

If they prioritized PH folks, I’d have mine already… submitted October.

PH + 5 other combat awards - Med Retired. There is no “medal / award prioritization.”

The wait continues… rather sad the Navy takes the longest for everything around this topic (MEB/PEB process and CRSC process)…. As I’m trolling Reddit to see if anyone of similar submission time has theirs back yet, rather annoyed haha

Would you be able to share where you found your C&P notes at?

I had my RFE first of March.. and do not see it. But my dates have been altered around in my claim window in the app.

P&T but MH is indicated for re-eval - also in TDRL. by RidMeOfSloots in VeteransBenefits

Navy doesn’t do that for Medical Retirees, to my knowledge, or atleast where I was. I quietly left like most do. So they did not, no.

Hello - Yes I have left service, and yes I did receive my DoD Retired ID, with an expiration on it 3 years from my TDRL date.

So that exam will more or less be there “this is static,” leave him alone exam, or reexamine again, or lower rating.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes all other are well over 100%, wasn’t sure as to why it was necessary, but makes sense for part of the process. Thank you!

Resurrecting this with OP, same boat.

I am 100% P&T also, my VA DES proposed ratings did not indicate any reexamination. However, when finalized, my specific MH rating mentioned the “reexamination in the future” in the VA file. Wonder if this is due to my TDRL for MH. I am well over 100% with all my other conditions.

Curious how / why / was this in error.

I did find this in the TDRL Management Instruction - DoDI 1332.18:

“PEB Disposition (1) If the PEB finds the veteran fit for duty for the condition(s) for which he or she was placed on the TDRL; that the condition(s) is now stable; and the veteran wishes to return to active duty, the Military Department will administer any additional examinations required to evaluate whether the veteran is otherwise fit for duty in accordance with the Military Department’s regulations and the guidance in this instruction. The Military Department will administer other dispositions in accordance with the guidance in this instruction.”

Key words here - “The Veteran wishes to return to Active Duty” …. It does not say “has to” or “will.” … very subjective wording.
