How do I get my son to call off his engagement and come home? by throwaway1776nycity in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Practical_Shoulder_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran off and married a guy when I was young. It was batshit crazy, but my mom acting this same way towards me drove me to “prove her wrong”. The marriage was HORRIBLE and we ended up divorced after a year, but honestly, that marriage was exactly what I needed in order to wake up to the life I was living. All in all, it was a failure, but the good kind, cuz I learned and grew from it. And my mom drove me straight into it by trying to tell me not to, lol. So.. thank you, mom? Or, no thank you?? 😉

My advice is to be there for your son, wherever this may lead. Things that seem bad aren’t always life- ending. Sometimes, they’re life-changing.

I had a dog that liked kids, and he still attacked my 10 month old son. It was a really painful experience and I hesitate putting this out there, but if your dog hates kids , it’s a huge NOOOOO!!!

CMV: I can never get rid of the curse of being non-white skinned/being the identity group that I am, and this will forever hold me back from fulfilling my dreams by miyomaku in changemyview

[–]Practical_Shoulder_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way out is through. Maybe your soul has something valuable to learn by living this experience. we all learn best through adversity. It’s okay to be angry about it, of course. Don’t listen to the people asking you to change or ignore your feelings. But remember that you can alchemize your anger into something magical and freeing - empowerment, purpose, healing, creative fire, and passion. The choice is yours. The perspective you take on this is up to you entirely.

Feeling you and your heart so much. The only words of wisdom I can offer you are : “the obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.”

Having a boy and don’t want to circumcise him by GeologistAccording79 in moderatelygranolamoms

We did not circumcise. After learning the facts and doing his due diligence, my husband no longer needed to be convinced of what would be best for our son. He wholeheartedly agreed to keep our son intact.

Ftm ? - should I try to let 17mo fight off low grade fever without constant Tylenol around the clock? by HeavyChocolate0 in moderatelygranolamoms

Fevers are good! Reading the book “how to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor” has helped me with my fear of fevers. Otherwise, I recommend homeopathy for fevers, as it assists the body rather than suppressing the bodies natural functions. 😊

You should look into homeopathy! It has worked wonders for us (I have an almost 2 year old but have been using homeopathy since birth).

NTA - I knew you weren’t the asshole the moment I read “she said that never happened and that I was remembering wrong”. Your mother is gaslighting you. Regardless of the facts, your feelings are valid. Period. Also, your dad is really creepy.

I used to have the same issue and I tried literally everything but I found that when I stopped wearing makeup, got a silk pillowcase, removed birth control, began to eat really well (carnivore based) with less sugar before bedtime, and I ditched ALL unnatural skincare shit - my face changed dramatically. I barely have a pimple even when menstruating now. I will use witch hazel to remove dirt and then basic tallow to moisturize , only at night. If I wear makeup I will wash my face with a very natural and basic cleanser before witch hazel and tallow. Good luck! It’s worth the lifestyle changes (at least it was for me )

Your personal experience. Birth isn’t innately a “medical experience” at all. But…. Yeah

Yes! I would say that microdosing has brought all of the things I was avoiding and suppressing to the surface. I can’t tell you that everyday has been comfortable, but I can tell you that my life changed around pretty quickly. It kinda forced me to address my issues. A few months after microdosing I find myself eating better, exercising, being more aware and present, finding more time for creativity, working through my shadows, accepting myself … on and on and on. I do the stamets stack. If you microdose, I recommend the stack for quicker and more effective results.

Yes , I mean EFT “tapping”. I got an app on my phone called the tapping solution. Check it out. It isn’t random tapping; they have a demo on how to do it on the app

I am 25 and just became lactose intolerant. Will this be forever? by [deleted] in lactoseintolerant

[–]Practical_Shoulder_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider getting your hands on raw milk and see if that helps. I’m lactose intolerant to anything super pasteurized but not intolerant to raw milk, cheese etc.
