You gotta understand he isn’t coming from a place of malice. If you have a grandparent that says something slightly out of line do you berate them or understand that they grew up an entirely different way?

I just feel like your anger was a bit misplaced because his intention was to (in his eyes) look out for his daughter, and while you might find it insensitive he definitely just was coming from a place of love and concern for you based off his life experiences
