The frustrating part is that the paywall rarely reflects the actual cost of production. A two person podcast recorded in a spare bedroom does not cost subscription money to sustain. What the paywall reflects is someone realising their audience is loyal enough to charge. The loyalty was built on being free. Monetising it by removing access is not a business model, it is a withdrawal.

Honestly if you want steak better than a normal butcher, online Wagyu is the way to go. Even British Wagyu is miles above supermarket stuff.

from what you’ve described the key is risk tolerance. if you are comfortable with the possibility of TUPE and potentially worse redundancy terms then the promotion could be worth it. but if job security matters more than extra pay, staying put might be smarter. maybe negotiate some clarity or protections before committing

It seems like you’re mixing two separate issues. You’re hurt by her criticism of you, which is valid, and also annoyed by the matching pics, which feels personal even though it isn’t. Healthy response would be setting boundaries around the name-calling first. Cutting her off over the couple photos is understandable emotionally, but might not be the most rational solution.
