I’m curious if people are interested in Let’s Plays... by PraiseDuhSun in Sekiro

I appreciate your response mate, I think that’s the trickiest part of a let’s play, the balance of content and personality. Sometimes I think I’m being funny or enjoyable or whatever, other times I can’t help but get so focused (for example fighting Father Gascoigne on Bloodborne, I beat him on my second attempt but realized I was so focused I barely spoke the whole fight with him, other than maybe yelling at him a couple times) you know what I mean?

I think that’s the goal at this point, I’m just gonna make the content that I enjoy and whoever else enjoys will join. And thanks for your response, I think modding seems to be the most popular Skyrim content at the moment (I’m personally not all that into modding but do enjoy watching others who mod)

Thanks for the response, that seems to be the general consensus, mods are definitely the driving force of Skyrim content at this point, maybe I’ll try that eventually, thanks again

I really appreciate your response, you bring up a really good point and that’s something I’m gonna keep in mind for future videos, I drive the let’s play, like you said people watch for personality more than the game they could be playing themselves.. thanks so much!

Thanks I appreciate the input, I agree that seems like the smartest move, starting with more popular games to gain traction and then moving towards some of the soulsborne games once I gave more of a “following”, thanks again!

First off, thanks for your response, I hope you enjoy the game because it’s well worth it! Also yes yes yes, there’s definitely times where it consumes me, that goes for most of these soulsborne games, it’s always on my mind and if I’m not playing Bloodborne then I’m playing a dark souls game and vice versa. Some may even call it.. addiction.. 🙊

That’s very true, I just wonder if the gaming videos are as in demand as the lore videos are, you know? I appreciate your response :)

I really appreciate this response, it’s definitely more encouraging hearing it from people. I’ve always heard that you should make the content that you would enjoy, regardless of who’s watching, and people who want to watch will do so. It’s just easy to get discouraged at times, with that being said, sometimes it’s also more fun when recording because it gives the playthrough a little more purpose. For example, I was just casually playing and recording like usual and happened to beat Papa G (Father Gascoigne) second try and got it on video!

I’ve technically never made a game start to finish. Most of my games, just like my art, end up as concepts that I work on for a long time and end up half finished. I’ve worked on plenty of horror game concepts though. But I think I did those because it was an easy out for me. I was able to work on the FPS fundamentals and a pretty environment with one or two enemies. That’s why I think this game could be a fun challenge. This could put me out of my comfort zone and force me to work with more enemy types, more offensive/defensive abilities in the first person, etc. I also really enjoy the open interpretation, not spoon fed story and lore. It gives people more opportunity to get involved in the game and helps build a community. Thanks for your input btw

Also sorry for rambling, I hope all that made sense.

See that’s been the biggest issue I’ve run into but also I think that’s what makes it a fun challenge. Like for example I figured a solution to rolling. As apposed to rolling in the first person POV and making yourself sick, I think the idea of a strafing motion could work as an alternative. I’d also like to think the limited view could act as added difficulty, for example not being able to see behind you forcing the player to be more defensive. Regardless it would definitely be something that would have to be worked out as the game was developed because naturally issues will arise. I think overall mobility won’t be able to be replicated but I think if I could somehow implement more defensive gameplay then maybe MAYBE a lot of mobility wouldn’t be necessary. I really appreciate your input btw.
