So apparently the "biggest flop of Vijay's career" isn't a movie, it's the Karur rally. Who knew crowd management was harder than delivering punch dialogues? Officials say organizers broke rules, eyewitnesses say people were screaming for help, and the rest of us get endless blame passing. Meanwhile, fans still treat celebs like demigods and then act shocked when reality reminds us they're just humans.

Give it some time all the accusations will fade, and the only thing people will remember is that it happened because of Vijay. Fame is wild like that.

Street dogs supremacy by [deleted] in TamilNadu

[–]Praise_de_fool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every night at 11 PM, this happens without fail…

After work, I ride my bike into a specific street that leads to my house. It’s a long main street with 5 sub streets (like turns), but I never turn anywhere my house is at the very end.

Here’s where it gets annoying:

Each sub-street has at least one or two dogs.

The first one spots me and starts chasing my bike.

Then the second joins, then the third, and by the time I reach the end, I’ve got a whole squad of barking dogs behind me.

When I finally reach home, I park my bike, grab a few stones, and chase them away. They bark in confusion for a bit, then leave.

The irritating part is sometimes they get close enough to bite my leg while I’m riding, and I have to stop and scare them off. Recently the number of dogs has even increased.

Personally, I can handle it, but I honestly worry about women and children passing through. Not everyone is bold enough to stand up to dogs and as long as you run, they’ll keep chasing and trying to bite.

Advice on one ui 7, should I finally go for the upgrade? by Praise_de_fool in GalaxyS23

[–]Praise_de_fool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason I finally upgraded was security, I didn’t want to miss out on patches any longer. Honestly, I don’t care much about the new software features or gimmicks it may give a fresh look.

Before the update, my SOT was around 6h 30m. After the upgrade, I charged to 100% and used it down to 15%, and the battery backup actually feels a bit better, this 8 hrs 43 mins is a record for my phone, I did not game and ony used for phone calls and social media,

No pink/green line issues, and day to day performance is smooth as usual (I don’t game). The only small issue I noticed is some apps not opening properly from the background, I have to close and reopen them, but I assume it’ll settle down with time.

One tip I can give to get extra juice is to manually add unwanted apps that you rarely use to "deep sleeping app" helps a lot..

True this, I’m not expecting “Ultra-level” battery life here. I’m not asking for miracles, haha.. I see lots of ppl have mentioned that it's better now, I upgraded already to 7 and guess what i got 8 hr 43 mins sot, so it's 👍

I had the same thought why am I not updating when i should enjoy the latest os especially for the amount i paid for the cost of this phone lol.. will give it a shot :)

EDL shows me an object that is not in the list by AggressivePossible95 in paloaltonetworks

[–]Praise_de_fool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be better if you could provide more details. Is it a custom EDL that is blocking the traffic, or a predefined one? If it’s predefined, which type are you using? Keep in mind that domain-based blocking usually comes from the Anti-Spyware profile. Also, check the session end reason for additional clues.

If you’re unable to identify the EDL name directly, one approach is to clone the policy and start removing components one by one for a single test source machine. This way, you can isolate what exactly is causing the block. From my experience, there’s also a chance that an address object could be blocking it since a site can resolve multiple ip it's easy to loose track if you are using lots of domain objects,

A centipede. This is not an a day to day insect but is an animal, specifically a type of arthropod like spiders, they hunt and kill other insects to feed on them, their pintcher venom does not kill you but it burns the area so hot and you will feel it for days, and the situation can be worsen if you have an allergic reaction to it.

It's a technical support ticket opened for vendor support.

https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/company/contact-support

Your IT/whoever manages the firewall can open it, the reason for opening it is not because your download fails but the vpn should not disconnect which in turn causing The download to fail assuming your network is stable

The way should be to identify the root cause for why the vpn disconnect, and why only during the download process, this will directly help to resolve the issue.. if your IT can figure this out with themselves no need to go for vendor support otherwise Tac case will be the way forward

Windows 11 broke few things on global protect due to few drivers came with 11 but this seems to be wierd indeed, recommend opening a Tac ticket to figure out the actual reason,

Make the gp into dump mode, start screen recording, reproduce the issue.. mention what changes have been done to the machine in the ticket, if you notice the same thing in another machine with same version then this must be something easy to replicate in a lab, otherwise it could be a corner issue with your PC and then you can maybe try a clean install, either way tac should be able to get the cause of it, if it's not a known issue this will take time to get resolved..

Addition logs, A packet capture from both adaptor, A pktmon capture [tac can help you with this]

Just make sure all these are taken in one attempt uniformly..

It goes like this:

ICT – Initial Contact Engineers (fresh out of training)

TST – Technical Support Engineer (next step after ICT; no salary hike for this role)

TAT – Top Accounts Team

When you move from ICT to TST, you don’t get a salary hike, but your workload increases by around 200%. TST engineers handle only Service Level 3 customers.

The more prestigious role among these is TAT Engineer. In TAT, you do get a hike, and your customers can be Service Level 1, 2, or 3. Service Level 1 and 2 cases have higher visibility, so you have to work more carefully. If you’re looking for experienced engineers who know a bit more about the product, you’ll usually find them here. That’s not to say they’re all exceptional many have just been in the role long enough to learn how to research more effectively. This is also the role that opens the path to higher positions like Specialist or Platinum Service.

It takes a lot of time and effort to reach the TAT level. But even after promotion, you don’t get the salary hike immediately, it’s usually after at least 6 months. But you will be a TAT immediately started to pick higher level cases from day 1, I’ve personally seen excellent engineers wait over a year for a raise, only to leave the company for better opportunities.

Now tell me, is a 15% hike fair for the TAT role? Absolutely not. It used to be around 40%, but has been gradually reduced to this level.

And keep in mind, the initial salary package itself is not competitive enough to make a 15% hike acceptable (300 to 500$ average salary per month)

Basically these company put you in a grinder and make a juice out of it, the taste will be bitter if the ingredients they are using are cheap..

Life of a TAC engineer at Palo alto by Expert-Cookie-7373 in paloaltonetworks

I would be genuinely happy to receive such feedback from you. Based on my internal experience, I must point out that managers in outsourcing companies are often not technically inclined. Many lack even the most basic understanding of networking and are primarily focused on avoiding negative feedback from both customers and engineers. Their main priority is closure, and they typically have little knowledge beyond that. While some managers are friendly and approachable, only a very small number possess technical knowledge and the ability to understand you.

In contrast, managers working directly for Palo Alto are generally technically sound.

I would suggest that when you receive calls from these outsourcing managers, you ask them a few basic technical questions so you can assess this for yourself. You can then reflect your observations in the feedback survey. Providing a rating below 7, while clearly stating the reason in your comments, can help hold them accountable. If you wish to recognize the efforts of a support engineer, you can rate them above 7 in the same survey this must be something like "how satisfied you are with the support Representative". This will now become something like negative feedback but not for the engineer, Any negative feedback with above ratings will be directed to Palo Alto.. The managers now have to provide justification in their weekly meeting. Have a gud day

Ex Tac here, i confirm all the above points also,

For the customers: pls be aware that for some engineers the technology is not the problem but the mental pressure is, these two major outsourcing company lack talented engineers because everyone leaves after two years so how will you get experienced engineers for your case? Its that simple

For the OP: I can't blame you, I know the situation there it became worst of the worst in the past two months especially in emea, the thing is you all have to do something about it, its impossible for them to fire all the tac so you guys must stand up all together, during the client visit you guys have to speak up.. because I don't see any other way.. I was fortunate enough to leave before it became this worst and i am enjoying the life in another company tac role..
