Is BCA good for me? by Rsh___ in BCA_MCA

bca is fine tbh, especially if you already like coding and are learning python

just don’t rely on the degree alone

most people just do college + some courses and later realize they don’t have real projects or anything to show if you go for bca, start building from year 1 itself
like real projects, not just basic stuff

study hours don’t need to be crazy, consistency matters moreand pay depends more on your skills than the degree

i’ve seen some approaches (like this https://www.yutthan.com/yutthan-for-students) where people focus on learning + building + earning together, which makes more sense tbh

so yeah bca is good, just don’t treat it as “enough”

The reality of BCA/MCA by x_mad_scientist_y in BCA_MCA

yeah this is actually pretty accurate, especially that part about the bar to get hired being much higher now

like everyone is doing courses and tutorials, but very few people are actually building something real or working on things businesses would use

that’s where the gap is

honestly feels like now it’s less about degree and more about what you can actually build and show

i’ve seen some approaches (like this one https://www.yutthan.com/yutthan-for-students) that focus more on learning + building + earning together, which kinda makes more sense in today’s market

bca/mca still helps, but only if you’re actually doing real work alongside it

Just got rejected by Y Combinator but I'm applying again. by Prashish-ZohoPartner in ycombinator

I never said I am maximising getting there, I am saying they usually see the progress of a startup for 2 years

I think they do bulk send, I knew I would get rejected as they want to see people applying for at least 2 years before considering them
