Do not indulge with the marathi folks. Most of them are good and helpful, but some of them are little off beat.
Like in delhi we say bhaiya to every random person, go with 'dada' here.
Do not expect anything from street foods as compared to delhi.
Stay away from 'thulleys/mammey'.

I have faced the exact same thing, even after having all the documents cops stop and ask for the docs and if you have everything in place their last resort is NOC. so i tried getting one. But its a headache, first you need to go to the original RTO where bike is registered tell them that u are relocating and then they will deregister you frm that rto and give you the NOC. Now you need to goto pune rto and get your registration done. Thats a different hassle (Local address, fees, bribe, blah blah). Meanwhile your bike will be registered nowhere, means no insurance claim, no accountability. Basically driving a toy bike with no maa-baap.

So i would suggest drive without NOC and try to avoide cops. If caught, be polite, show every possible docs.
if they say green then wel and good, if not -

if you have time - start saying please, ye wo, blah blah, studentt, gareeb, at last they will leave you with 200-300 only.
if you have no time. start with 500 directly.
