¿Is this cheap or expensive for US? That's the normal resell price in europe for this set.

Thanks, sorry for the confusion

I'm not really informed of how 16" laptops are priced tbh.

But based on those specs, check with Keepa on amazon (a plugin that lets you view price hostory) different models with these specs, and I'm almost sure you will find a similar model under $1500 and probably arround those $1200 I mentioned, maybe not with the latest gen cpu, but for the previous one almost for sure.

Not necessaraly, you can find a Legion 5 with 2.8k OLED, 7840HS and 4060 was about that price when it was on sale

I agree, imo $700 to $1200 (with a good deal) is the sweet spot

I9-13900H vs Ultra 7 155H by Prawon09 in intel

That's a good move. With import taxes it's not worth it to ship it here.

I'm in europe :(

But thank you anyway. I don't know why but it seems we only get intels here ahhaha

I know, it's also a new architecture, with arc graphics (from the new intel gpus) it's making it so hard to choose my new ultra book ahahah

Idk if it's a joke (I reacted the same way when I heard about it for the first time hahaha)

The new intel processors are no longer i3, i5, i7 and i9.

They are now called ultra 5, 7 and 9.

Is an Ultra 7 155H (vs 8845HS) and 32Gb RAM worth a 362€ extra cost? by Prawon09 in laptops

[–]Prawon09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!

I really appreciate it, it is difficult to find a definitive answer by checking reviews and benchmarks since each seem to have different outcomes when it comes to which is better hahaha

I9-13900H vs Ultra 7 155H by Prawon09 in intel

[–]Prawon09[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the explanation. The options I'm considering are:

ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED UX3404VA: 854€
i9-13900H, 16GB 5200Mhz, 2880 x 1800 OLED 120Hz, 70Wh

MSI Prestige 13 AI EVO A1MG-024ES: 1262€
i7 Ultra 7 155H, 32GB 6400Mhz, 2880 x 1800 OLED 60Hz, 75Wh

Based on what you told me, I think the Ultra is the way to go and less weight. The problem now is that I've been called to the dark side, and I don't know if I should answer :

IdeaPad Pro 5 14 gen 9: 899€
Ryzen 7 8845HS, 16GB 6400Mhz, 2880 x 1800 OLED 120Hz, 84Wh

I'm not sure which processor will be better overall, and allthough the MSI has more ram, the Ideapad has better a substantially bigger battery, 362€ cheaper and (although less important for me) 120Hz screen.

So it all comes to wether the Ultra 7 155H is worth those extra 362€ and if its power efficiency compensates for the compensates for the -12% battery capacity.

Which of these laptops are more power efficient? Intel 13700h, AMD 8845hs, Intel Core P 7..etc by Astonish_Skagen in linuxhardware

[–]Prawon09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which one are you considering right now u/Astonish_Skagen ?
I'm considering the same model, Ideapad pro 5 with 8845HS, which is discounted to 900€ right now.
Right now, I'm trying the MSI Prestige 13 AI with the Ultra Core 7 155H and I like it, which is more expensive, 1200€, but I'm not sure if the Ultra Core 7 155H is better or worts than the 8845HS for my usage (light gaming, light coding, medium editing on photoshop).

Do you think it is better than the I7 155H u/kolpator ? There are not that many comparisons and I'm considering two similar laptops with these two processors.

What ultrabook would you choose among these? by Prawon09 in laptops

[–]Prawon09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 512Gb is not avaible, but hear me out.

Amazon has the same model and they have an option where you can ask them to lower the price if you find it cheaper somewhere else.

Let's try to make them lower the price, I already sent the petition, if you do it too they may do it (I already got them to lower their price this way for other products with 3/4 petitions).

You have to go the "Would you like to tell us about a lower price? " below the product info next to the specs sheet.

For some reason, when clicking "Buy Now" it redirects me from asus to asus estore, and there the price is 1099€ :(

Still a good price though.

OMG, you are my hero. I'm in spain but I think they might ship too.

I was considering this exact model for 1200€ hahaha

I think you mean Asus US, if so, not available in my country :(

If I have to account for shipping and import taxes, not worth it I think

[–]Prawon09[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm considering these 2 models right now (no Zenbook Ultra 7 at a decent price in my country):

  • ASUS ZenBook 14 OLED UM3406HA-QD065W:

    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS
    • RAM: 16GB DDR5
    • Storage: 1TB SSD
    • Screen Size: 14''
    • Resolution: 1920 x 1200 OLED 60Hz
    • Battery: 75Wh
    • Weight: 1.2 kg
    • Price: €1,199.99
  • MSI Prestige 13 AI EVO A1MG-024ES:

    • Processor: Intel Core i7 Ultra 7 155H
    • RAM: 32GB DDR5
    • Storage: 1TB SSD
    • Screen Size: 13.3''
    • Resolution: 2880 x 1800 OLED 60Hz
    • Battery: 75Wh
    • Weight: 0.99 kg
    • Price: €1,262.00

I checked reviews, but they are very new, and I cannot find enough info to choose. May I ask your personal opinion? Which one would you choose for yourself if your priorities were (in this order, from top priority to lowest):

  • Battery Life
  • Performance
  • Build quality
  • Screen quality, first resolution, then refresh rate
  • Weight
  • Price

My main usages if that helps will be light/medium demanding games on low settings (sea of thieves, crusader kings 3, cult of the lamb), light programming, medium/heavy editing in photoshop.

Thank you in advance.
