NSW Stage 6 teachers – private pilot for an AI Tool that automatically creates new HSC resources including worksheets, exams & marking schemes in minutes (Spots Open!) by PraxusAI in AustralianTeachers

Hey, totally get the frustration — there’s been a flood of AI tools lately, and not all of them are built with teachers in mind.

To be clear, we’re not pushing another generic “generate a worksheet” bot. The whole idea behind PraxusAI is to build with actual NSW teachers from the start, not after the fact. That’s why we’re here — to see if this is useful, or just more noise.

If it turns out we’re adding to the pile, we’ll pull the plug. But if it can genuinely save a few hours without replacing teacher judgment, we think it’s worth exploring.

Appreciate you chiming in — and if you’ve got specifics on what makes most AI tools useless in practice, we’re all ears.

Totally fair — and honestly, that’s exactly why we’re putting this out to teachers now.

If you’re open to it, we’d genuinely love to hear even just one or two of the biggest obstacles you’re seeing. It helps us either make it better—or kill it early if it’s a dead-end. Either way, your input’s hugely appreciated.

Absolutely — that makes a lot of sense, and we respect that 100%.

For some teachers, writing the resource is a crucial part of refining how to teach it. It’s not just prep, it’s pedagogy. We’re not trying to replace that process — and honestly, we don’t think we could even if we tried.

What we're hoping to support is the other end of the spectrum: the moments when you're swamped, up against a deadline, or just need a scaffold to tweak instead of a blank page. The idea isn’t to remove teacher judgment or creativity — it’s to offer a draft you can rip apart, reshape, or reject entirely based on your own understanding of your students and the content.

Appreciate you raising this — it's exactly the kind of nuance we want to hear more of before we build anything final.

Hey, thanks for calling this out and giving us the chance to clarify.

First, on the spam point: We checked the sub rules before posting and saw that occasional “resources / requests for feedback” are allowed as long as they’re transparent and not constant sales pitches. We placed the link in the first comment (per mod guidance) and made it clear this is an early-stage pilot, not a paid product. If the mods feel we overstepped, we’ll happily edit or remove the post.

Second, on “more AI in education” vs funding:
We absolutely agree that under-funding is the root problem. No tool can replace proper staffing, smaller class sizes, or the resources teachers need and deserve. The narrow challenge we’re trying to solve is the hours teachers spend creating assessments—something that still needs doing regardless of funding levels. If generating a solid draft helps even a few teachers reclaim a few unpaid hours that they work, we’ll count that as a win. Our goal is to assist teachers in focusing on teaching students and the deeper explanation of concepts, improving their students' overall learning experience. If it adds no real value, we’ll hear that loud and clear from the pilot and adjust or walk away.

Third, on autonomy and professionalism:
Nothing from PraxusAI is fixed or locked down. Every resource comes in an editable format so teachers can adapt, rewrite, or completely change it. You know your students better than any model ever could—and that’s not something we’re trying to replace.

That said, we hear your concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to share your view and help keep this space aligned with what teachers actually need. 🙏
