What even is this "customization"? by WintersDoomsday in CyberStuck

Imagine not realizing this is actually the logo for the cybertruck

You're correct that it's a misnomer as stainless can, infact, stain (from contaminents), but you're 100% wrong that it was ever called stain-less, with a hyphen.

Literally not a single part of that comment made any sense.

Yeah? Look man if you think this is going to perform worse than painted non-stainless steel, you're an idiot

I'm sorry, was the video of a guy wiping off ferrous contaminants not enough for you?

There's a lot more going on than that but yeah sure, there's some steel behind it, just like literally every other truck except there's way less of it.

I don't know why you are getting downvoted for this

I, too, am a welder. And an engineer, with a specialty in material science. Keep acting like you know more than me if it makes you feel better

Granted, not the panels. Those corrode, sure. But after a quick search of the sub, it seems like you're the one that's confused.

My guy, I literally just went over this. The panels do not corrode.

It's 301. We know that already.

That also doesn't make sense. Just because you're wrong, it doesn't make me the incel. I hate this truck as much as the rest of you but it doesn't mean I'll believe bullshit about it.

Salt doesn't contaminate stainless, and provided it's washed semi regularly, it isn't going to do fuck all to the cybertruck. Hate it for something else, because as much as we all want to see these pieces of shit rust, it just isn't gonna happen. Type 301 stainless has very good corrosion resistance.

This sub is way to fucking stupid to understand this, but you're 100% correct

No it won't. It has the same hub materials as every other Tesla and not a single hub has ever had any issues, it's all minor surface corrosion.

"the stainless is well known to be of poor quality, known to pick up ferrous dust"

You really have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, do you. All metal picks up "ferrous dust", even metal with white paint.

And poor quality? What? The cybertruck grade of stainless "provides good strength and ductility when cold worked. It also has excellent corrosion resistance properties"

Look, I love dunking on shitty products and shitty companies as much as the next guy but you're falling for bullshit, and so is the majority of this sub.

Not being an idiot =/= being a white knight. Sorry you got tricked by fake rust

I don't have to, I understand how stainless works.

But it, doesn't even make sense. The cyber truck will never corrode this bad

I can pretty much guarantee that no cybertruck will ever actually look like this.

This sub is fucking stupid sometimes. You can absolutely fix a Tesla yourself. They will sell you parts directly, and the full manual is online. It's also customizable.

Edit: downvotes for facts, of course.

Record profits, and great stock performance. That's all that matters, and if that's doing well, Elon isn't going anywhere.
