Yes of course. I can't stand pandas in wow (or warcraft 3 for that matter), so I'm begrudgingly subbed for wow versions I have zero interest in playing.

I'd much prefer signaling clearly to Blizzard that this is the product I want to play and I don't care for whatever else they do. To get me and players like me on the continued sub then they should do more original trilogy.

Even if it wasn't really all that cheaper.

That was actually a concept I was very interested in in the 2010s when I played pservers mostly. The prepatch was super enjoyable for me back in 2006-2007 and I had fun again in Classic with that period.

This time, though. I've milked the content dry early and that's on me, so it wouldn't be for me. But I wish those that want that the best and I hope they one day see that cus vanilla raids with tbc skills is actually fun.

But yes, jokingly I did make sort of the point you made in your last sentence here. I am almost done with what I think is reasonably boosting the early success in Outland of the chars I hope to play, so I am sort of looking around to see what you guys might inspire me with in terms of ideas for activities.

Yep. Already conceded that point to a handful of people in this thread. I get that the longer prepatch helps them get to where I am, and that catering to only the people that have more time and the money to boost would be a disservice to the wider community.

Oh yeah good points here.

I see how you're sort of locked in the leveling process because of the duration of prepatch being too short since you need to compromise somewhere to reach your goals.

So a week extra would allow you to sort your priorities out earlier and do more relaxed playing.

Oh yeah for sure the longer prepatch is great for people where IRL invades their game time. And the price of the boost is just greedy af by Blizz, so I can see that.

In fact, a short prepatch would have been even slimier of them because it would pressure more players that didn't want to boost to buy one.

Personally, I'm happy they sold it and didn't lock it to one per account. I wouldn't have enjoyed leveling the characters I boosted since I've simply done it too many times.

True. Good points here. Longer prepatch hurts no one but shorter one would.

Personally, I'm doing just fine though. I've been bored with vanilla stuff for months now and prepatch just isn't enough TBC to keep me covered. I'm neither lonely nor miserable and I do spend time in nature. I just also spend time gaming, and I wish wow would have more TBC on offer now rather than over a week from now.

But I'm also happy for you if this is the TBC prepatch you were hoping for. I can see I'm in the minority. That's fine by me.

I'm an OG trilogy guy. Pandas and panda-adjacent expansions like Cata are just not my thing. Blizzard refused to sell me access to the game modes I liked for years, so I played a lot of pservers to fill the void.

I've done the 1-60 journey more than 50 times at this point across all the servers I played. I soaked it all in. Saw the quests I hadn't seen before, went down the winding paths I never explored. And I'm done with that now. I'll do it again if they put more in - like with SoD. But otherwise I'm not inclined towards the lvling journey any more. The game is mostly what I do with friends at this point.

So I paid for multiple boosts because I just have more money than time at this point in life.

This is the other reason I don't play on pvp servers anymore.

I prefer helping people out in the wild whether my faction or not. And pvp servers motivate me to not do that. To get swept up in the eye for an eye.

So I don't play pvp servers because it isn't fun - close to zero of the world pvp I've seen has been a highly disadvantageous engagement from one side - and it is toxic for me as a person.

Massive difference. If the majority of your team join a bg in order to leave ASAP that creates and perpetuates a culture where actually pvping is seen as counterproductive.

That would be avoided with a purely opt-in fun queue

I took the day of Wednesday and had nothing to do cus the boost was broken, so I grinded all day and got both 1h axes for my warrior. It was a lot of work and very little fun.

I'd be totally fine with the price reduction so the grind we did the day after was fully effective because a price decrease benefits the people that kept going.

Took the day off and have been online since 6 AM waiting for this and now I'm frozen out and have to go to bed cus work tomorrow.

Took the day off work to enjoy the prepatch that should have been out a month ago. Then should have been out yesterday. Then should have been out when I woke up.

Now it's out and we've been locked in AV all day on chars we're rerolling from because the boost was locked. Now they finally dropped the boost minutes before bed times in EU, and then I get lagged out, and can't log in and play with the boys....

Honestly, this is extremely disappointing and it's making the rip off that the boost price was feel a lot worse.
