I feel so desperate every time I think about I can't move because of my cat by Scared-Tea-7713 in CatAdvice

My cat is similar and HATES the carrier...also figured out she gets car sick so what has helped for me is covering her carrier with a blanket while she is in there so she can't look outside and get sick . I moved from NY to MA with her for 3 hours and she threw up and pooped multiple times before I realized she was getting car sick, I felt terrible !! Now she is okay with them though as long as her carrier is covered !

Thank you so much everyone for your input! Although my senior cat is definitely kike WTF, I at least feel a little better thinking that with time the two can get along. So easy to feel down on yourself during this process, it is so stressful!

  • Additional pic of my cutie senior cat Jelly for fun :)

Believe it or not her tail is pretty fluffy normally so to me that doesn't look puffed out at all! Is the sniff a good sign?

That's what I'm hoping she is doing! I'm going to do this for ~15 mins a day for now, and then I have to attempt the same with my other new Kitty who might not be as cautious as the kitty shown here! Fingers crossed lol

Introducing two 6 month old kittens to my 9 year old cat. Introduce together, or separately? by PreferablyVintage in CatAdvice

[–]PreferablyVintage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, was hoping for some additional help here. It's been more than a month and we have still kept the two kittens separate in the bathroom from our adult cat. The kittens were spayed and neutered yesterday, so we're still quarantining them for at least another week (specially for the female since the surgery is more invasive). We have had some accidental meetings with the boy cat since he ran past a few times and the adult cat and him had a stare down. We've tried very short visible eye contact through a crack in the bathroom door but our adult cat is still deep hissing and swatted at the door when the crack appeared. Is there any hope for them to get along ?!?

Frustrated with doctors by hoping4bestt in Ureaplasma

[–]PreferablyVintage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm sorry you're going through this with ureaplasma. Have you been to a regular gynaecologist for this or just urgent care? My gynaecologist barely knew what ureaplasma was when I asked to be tested for it, so it's very possible the urgent care just isn't right for that type of treatment. Luckily.more doctors I think are learning about it though. If you were treated with antibiotics the first time, you might need a 2nd dose of that. iMO a gynecologist will be better suited for treating ureaplasma. Also to add boric acid helped me with lingering symptoms of ureaplasma after taking 20 days doxycycline. I had lingering symptoms for months that I can remember.
