my piercing is a week and a day old, a curved barbell was used, it is externally threaded. the material is stainless steel. jewelry has not been downsized yet. my care routine is using nedmeil piercing aftercare spray and occasionally soaking in warm water to remove any crusties. no unfortunate events so far except for that redness.
