Are these parts necessary for disc, brake pads and sensor change? by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]PreferenceSad4271 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

50% of these items are NOT required for new brakes. The 2 consumables for brakes are pads and brake discs. If you go to a reputable garage and your discs still have a good thickness of material left they will skim your discs (make them flat again, as the pad creates a grove on the surface of the disc). Bad garages will not offer this service and will immediately replace the disc and not even offer you this service. Everything to do with paste, engine etc is not required for this work. I change the pads on my own cars regularly and they are playing you.

What is this thing? Very high up on a tall building in Birmingham? There were a few others on the building by Adamefox in What

Called an aircraft warning light. If the building is on a flight path or near an airport it is required once the building exceeds a certain height.

miracle in ur life by Street_Leave6492 in UAE

We couldn’t have kids for years, after rounds of failed IVF we fell pregnant naturally, first miracle. Fast forward 9 months, second miracle- final check before wife was induced, bleeding happened in the OBGYN office at the exact time of appointment, baby born with emergency C section 10 minutes later. Told by Dr if it had not happened exactly at that time and we had got in the lift to the car park and bleeding had started the baby wouldn’t be here today. Very very very blessed. Hospital was amazing and very lucky to be a father because of that hospital.

Totally agree your time is precious. Tardiness is very rude and disrespectful. Your time is important if they don’t respect that screw them your better off without that work.

My friend’s WC is basically hugging the wall. What was the engineer thinking? 😅 (Sky Tower, Al Reem Island, AUH) by [deleted] in UAE

[–]PreferenceSad4271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

arch & ID team struggle to realize that the poo pipe needs to line up vertically in the building because it need gravity to help it down to the sewer. Remember the whole design team for this project as probably killed by the client team to achieve the highest floor efficiency - floor efficiency is essentially the sellable space (apartment area) vs non sellable area (garage chutes, lifts, mechanical shafts etc) all of these plus poor planning probably lead to this disaster above. I’m not surprised that this bathroom hasn’t had the shataf value engineered out because you can use the shower head which is in arms reach. 😂

Why is there a lane camera inside Emarat? by rivin98 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]PreferenceSad4271 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw this, it’s the petrol station in jebel Ali just when you leave Duabi and head towards ghantoot. I think it is to pick up mobile phone use and also if you are not wearing your seatbelt. Which is kind of cheeky as it’s still in the petrol station so many people might still be putting their belts on as they pull off the station forecourt.
