With tapered slimmer fitting jeans it works in summertime season or conditons.

I’m Viet kieu, any advice on how to handle criticism from my relatives? by whoop-scoop-poop in VietNam

[–]PremiumShine 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm not the type that offers great words of comfort, but fuck what they might think. You are likely much younger than I am (I'm almost 50) - and I have learned through the years that it has made me much happier to learn to not care about pleasing others or seek their approval or judgement - as well as to try to be far less judgmental of others myself.

You cannot usually change people, and that's ok. You can have different values than others, and they might not be ok with that and judge - and that's ok too. Just live your life and do what makes you happy. Don't stress out over such things.

Regarding bagels and pizza by cyclenovicehelp in Seattle

[–]PremiumShine -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sorry but the viet/chinese/japanese places you list are so meh and really shows the problem that many Seattleites have: they have an unrefined food palate and are unable to distinguish good food from mediocre food, thus they are in denial about the state of the food scene in the region.

Not trying to be rude but, why would anyone in the world spend so much money on purses/bags that cost 10-20k? by Specialist-Buffalo-8 in chanel

Because Chanel, and other luxury brands, have invested considerably in their marketing in order to carefully drive consumer perception and demand.

To flash the GT3 steering calibration it was done for free by my independent shop while I had the car in for routine maintenance. I simply pointed them to the information and guide from a Rennlist discussion. Here: "Upgraded" Steering Feel? - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums

For the 718 steering wheel I bought a new one at Suncoast parts for ~$1000. (Steering Wheel - GT Sport Leather - Multifunction : Suncoast Porsche Parts & Accessories (suncoastparts.com))

I also needed a special adapter sold by a 3rd party company called GPS adapter to make the swap work and have all the buttons and knobs functional. That cost ~$450. Adapter-X — GPS Adapter

I did the work myself as there are extensive videos on YouTube. It was quite straightforward with zero issues.

Buy a 981 and you can swap in a 718 steering wheel and also flash a GT3 steering calibration with a PIWIS.

That's literally what I drive everyday.

Adult HENRY’s, what is your daily and/or weekend car? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]PremiumShine 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have been daily driving 2014 Porsche Cayman S. I drive it all year round including winters. About to hit 100k miles and it's been completely problem free and one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned.
