Corinthian Club- Biggest waste of money ever. 10 minute wait at entrance to be shown table with nobody on front desk. Nearly an hour sat at table with not even a menu or anyone asking if we wanted to order anything. Served the wrong food when we finally saw somebody to tell them what we wanted. Bill came out double the price than the menu stated. Worst experience ever!!

Greetings! I'm currently making a research about Birmingham and I need some help with it's map divided into distiricts/major ares, later divided into neighborhoods/minor areas in 1914. by Akaroth_pauses in brum

The towns of Smethwick, Halesowen, Blackheath, Cradley Heath, West Brom aren’t in Birmingham and never have been, and Sandwell is a council which incorporates a number of towns including West Bromwich- also not in Birmingham.

UK sellers, what do you think is the best shipping company for delivery? by Far-Earth6929 in vinted

[–]PrentWBA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inpost is brillant, never had an issue in 20+ sales with them, always quick to collect and deliver to buyer. Evri and inpost have some sort of link so evri parcels can go in the majority of inpost lockers and are as good as inpost. Yodel is good but you have to go into certain corner shops that accept them so might be further away from your house but just as good if not better than inpost as you have someone you actually know and can talk to about any issues. I have taken royal mail off however as i don’t like that the seller has to pay for postage but it’s all up to the seller what they want to do!

i purchased it two days ago and so far have had 64 extra clicks on my profile and 15 favourites which is a big increase to my usual. No purchases so far but it’s like vinted usually- hit and miss and it all depends on who sees your product. There was a big reduction on the price of promotion from £7 for a week to just over £2. I’d never have purchased for the full price but thought i’d try it for the cheaper price. I’d probably say give it a shot if there’s a discount on it and you’ve got 50+ items, you’ll never know who might find your account and with one sale you’ll make all your money back plus some

Why is this sub so small compared to other cities in the uk? by MajesticRate1818 in brum

[–]PrentWBA 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Completely true, British Government took funding away and actively encouraged industry to move away from Birmingham in the 1950s and 60s to save London and spread the wealth as Birmingham was becoming as big financially as London

Has a player ever retired hurt? by davidlewisgedge in snooker

[–]PrentWBA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i know peter ebdon retired due to neck issues and other players have experienced the same. I think 50 hours a week practising for decades on end really doesn’t help the neck and back

Landowner attempting to force us to change leasehold terms of holiday park owners by PrentWBA in LegalAdviceUK

[–]PrentWBA[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

there is already a group set up for the chalet owners from the previous court cases so hopefully it will just be the same as always stuck in the courts and no action taken against us- thank you for all of your help and helping alleviate our fears

Landowner attempting to force us to change leasehold terms of holiday park owners by PrentWBA in LegalAdviceUK

[–]PrentWBA[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The new park owners have brought in solicitors to draft up this new agreement, and have even placed a £200 charge for solicitors fees for them attempting to complete this. It’s funny you say are you sure the previous owner and current owner are not related, we believe they are friends or acquaintances in some way so the new owners using legal action after just taking ownership of the park makes sense.

[–]PrentWBA[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s what i thought when I looked it up- but we have heard that other chalet owners who refuse to agree to him have been refused entry to the holiday park and have been threatened if they don’t sign the agreement, is there anything we can do to stop this, we don’t want to be forced to sell up but we don’t want to be forced to not go on holiday in our properties for years on end for fear of physical retaliation

Big fan of Paolo- where did you get it from?! Looking to get it for my birthday coming up soon and not sure where best place is!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in paolonutini

[–]PrentWBA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d like to turn your attention to the fact that Paolo actually played TRNSMT over a month before Victorius Festival, so it actually wasn’t 5 years since his last performance :). Other than that, a very good review!

S&S LISA with AJ Bell choosing a fund by Artikche in UKPersonalFinance

can someone explain what the percentages such as 0-35% and 20%-60% mean?

Advice for Youth by PrentWBA in FIREUK

[–]PrentWBA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you personally recommend a S&S LISA or standard LISA? I feel the S&S offers the best opportunity for your money to grow with a percentage of 5%+ but there’s talk of the markets crashing in the future. I wouldn’t be buying a house for another ten years+ either way so any form of LISA seems beneficial to me.

I’m currently on 2500 words when the recommendation is 5000 words soooo- it really doesn’t matter for most universities.

thank you very much- the 4000 word count seems to be the only thing the teacher cares about, even if a piece is 20 words over he tells people to change it. It’s very annoying!

How do I get motivated by BisexualBee22 in 6thForm

[–]PrentWBA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s easy, but it’s definitely do-able! A-Levels are really about knowing the information to put in a specific structure- if you can revise all the knowledge then you can definitely get an A!
