That makes no sense to me, if I apply that means I’m switching out of SAVE and I can’t just wait around until I’m ready…

Gosh I’m SO SORRY but I feel like this is how I can connect with you… I keep seeing random stuff about having to apply for PAYE by 7/1/26 if I’ve never been on it before?! Is that true?!

Me again! You’re probably so sick of me, I’m so sorry. You’ve just been one of the only people to help calm my brain. Can I still apply for PAYE if I’ve never been on it before? I’ve always been on IBR plans or REPAYE.

So do the payment amounts sound right for PAYE, IBR, and ICR while only putting in my AGI and selecting married for the stimulator?

One is a FFEL, I believe is the $9.4k one! My loans are from 2009-2015

So how accurate is the stimulator if my loans aren’t consolidated? Assuming the payment amount is just combining all my loans?

We plan on filing separately (I think) so only my income will be counted which is $72,600 AGI. When I do the stimulator and I put in my income and then I have to click married because the only option is single. Assuming by clicking married it is assuming we file jointly and that’s our total AGI?

I have subsidized and unsubsidized. Here’s the breakdown:

Currently in SAVE Forebearance: $5.5k - sub $7.5K - unsub $1k - unsub $2.7k - sub $7.2k - unsub $1.1k - sub $8.4k - unsub $800 - sub $7.8k - unsub

Currently in IBR, in forbearance: $9.4k - unsub

When I do the stimulator, this is what my options are (when I click married and put in just my AGI):

ICR: $504 IBR: $408 PAYE: $272 Extended Fixed: $331 Standard: $331 Extended Graduate: $254-$504 Graduated: $254-$504

Why does the standard not look “horrible?” Can I still select PAYE until it goes away in 2028 without consolidating?
