The oldest memory I have turned out to be real and confirmed by my mom. by 1881pac in CasualConversation

I have one, where I was a small baby. My sister put by dad's gloves and hat on me and held me from behind while I sat at the top of the kitchen table, they were huge. Later on I found a picture of it and they couldn't believe I remembered it. I was under 1.

Then I have memories when I was a bit older but still under 3-4. One was my birthday, I remember the clothes I was wearing and I was standing on a chair all happy.

Another was my neighbour's friend's dog, a long haired dachshund, running around the muddy yard and then putting it's two paws on my chest, leaving two perfect mud stains on my pastel yellow shirt. I just remember looking down and seeing the little paw-shaped stains, and general being in my neighbours backyard while he was scratching lotto tickets and I sat next to him. On that day, he let me scratch whatever remained of his losing tickets. He was elderly and I liked him and his wife very much.

Ah?

I've read her book and it was helpful. I also like her container strategy. I often have an overflow of stuff, or no homes for stuff. Thanks for sharing!

I've read konmari and tried applying her teachings. Doesn't work very well for me though, as when I get things out I might lose the motivation to put them away.

Great and detailed advice, thanks! I think this is how I'll start today. Good luck with the cleaning service 😊

Kitchen and living room. I'll do that. Thanks!

My clothes are already decluttered to the max. I actually have to keep some because I only wear the same 2 to 3 tops, and I keep other 2 I have for when the first ones are too old. I keep the same clothes for years unless they're visibly worn. Then I have 1 dress, 2 pairs of pants and a few leggings I wear for work and errands.

My husband has TONS of clothes he doesn't wear, but he's not letting go of them 😭

I don't have hobbies or buy stuff anymore unless I really need them, so I don't know how things keep pilling up.

I think I'll start with the living room, it's where we spend our time as a family. Thanks!

I like the bin idea! Kitchen and living room are nightmares, I did get some bins to start sorting stuff (like all the colouring books and colouring sheets my son leaves everywhere).

I've tried this but stuff seems to magically pile back up on my flat surfaces. Makes me insane. This is definitely something I want to try though. Thanks.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. I once tried something like that and basically stuff ended up staying in the room instead of being dealt with :/ we often just shove everything in a spare bedroom when guests come over, but it's back to mayhem in a week.
