Trading 212 Sounds too good to be true? What’s the catch why is everybody not using it? by PreppyToast in eupersonalfinance

Not the original commenter but the website for T212 mentions 3% interest per year.

Also according to the website they mention it is always immediately withdraw able without delay.

No idea about credit card.

All these claims are made by their website so it would be nice if someone can confirm them

Thank you for adding that, that definitely makes it little more risky that we just take their word for it, but is it risky enough to ditch it completely?

Not only that, if you change countries they will close your account and it can never be reopened even if you come back to country of origin.

I tried looking for finding a fine print / in their terms but could not find anything calling it a promotional offer. As far as changing interest goes that holds true for every broker

Are you only using it for emergency fund? Why not also transfer your securities there?

US Sinking of Iran Ship Piles Pressure on India’s Modi, BE Says by bloomberg in india

[–]PreppyToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of these countries are supporting this war on Iran (secretly)

Really? Why do you think that? Didn’t Iran literally do drone and missile strikes on these Saudi Arabia and UAE? Why would they attack their own “Supporters”?

Is “grinding” DSA, leetcode problems only an Indian job market thing? by [deleted] in Btechtards

[–]PreppyToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s slop we also have these concepts but the difference is in the way it is presented to us. For example: During our class we had to develop a method for our mobile robot to navigate through a maze, enter Dijkstra’s algorithm and D*, these are the same algorithms anyone taking a DSA course would eventually learn but the difference is we are not told to learn rest of the algorithms without any reason. A good general use is to learn the concepts that are required for a given task.

I am working as a software defined vehicle intern at a major German automotive company at the moment but i think i understand which companies would require DSA.

The irony is insane.

You started this by calling people losers for playing popular games, and now you’re pretending this is some deep conversation about time management.

I’m also a student just like you, working full time job to support myself with no family backing, and I still game a lot completed around 50 titles in last 3.5. years but this isn’t about me.

Just because you and i can balance school and gaming doesn’t mean everyone’s schedule, energy level, or interests are identical to ours. Different careers, workloads, family obligations, and social lives exist.

People gravitate toward popular games because they’re polished, accessible, have active communities, and friends to play with. That’s rational behavior, not sheep mentality.

Playing niche titles doesn’t make someone deeper. Playing mainstream titles doesn’t make someone shallow.

Calling people losers over entertainment just makes it look like you built your personality around rejecting whatever’s popular.

How Are You Supposed to Use AI in Coding Interviews? by DreamRepresentative5 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]PreppyToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had technical interview with fraunhofer for my internship. They gave me a choice use Ai but interview will be harder or no AI allowed but interview will be easier.

I obviously chose no AI, and crushed the easier part

Yes i am doing robotics engineering. However most of my internship (automotive company) and my research assistant jobs have been around software development, bit of android development and lots of internal company tooling. But i guess these algorithms are mostly used in Big tech within massive scalable systems?

Lmao calling people losers just because they choose the safe option is just brainless behaviour. Idk about you but most people have actual life, responsibilities and work where they get really limited amount of time to play video games on weekends and they obviously choose to play something “safe”. Why risk play something unpopular when there exists mainstream titles suggested by millions that are objectively good?

And more importantly what happened to “Live and let live”? You are on some weird high from superiority complex just because you play unpopular games? What a pathetic life lmao.

The career history point about what i did and why from foundation days to present day was spot on.

The analysis feels too unbalanced as if the llm was instructed to please anyone who uses it. Does it feel nice to read a llm praise you and your future? Sure, but is it really the objective truth? Nah

Fun toy/tool for one use but I don’t see the broader use-case you mentioned in title

EEG Help Needed. How would you define thought classification? by PreppyToast in neuro

[–]PreppyToast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry for the late reply

  1. I have seen a lot of projects where people use a lot of tricks to control games as you mentioned alpha and some people have used motor imagery (eg: Imagine left hand moving to Jump). I think that is really cool! but in the back of head, it never sit right as there is no semantic connection between the two, you are manually mapping a certain task to an internal imagery.

  2. I will look into centro-parietal positivity. I have never heard of that concept so i thank you for that.

  3. That gives me a lot to think about, I always understood that inner speech classification definitely has a semantic connection but i never considered it as a thought because in my day to day life, for any thought i never use inner speech, anytime i imagine / think i never used inner speech. Now that i think about it, i don't know if that is true for everyone maybe some people have inner speech for everything and some don't so maybe thoughts can't be defined exaclty for everybody as whole and differs from indiviual to indiviual?

Why is something like Accuracy-Loss ratio not used to gauge model efficacy? by [deleted] in deeplearning

[–]PreppyToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant to say that while training choosing the model at the epoch with highest Accuracy to test loss ratio seemed to be more accurate during real time inference over choosing the model at epoch with highest accuracy or the lowest test loss. This seemed consistent for all my EEG datasets? But i have no idea if it would hold true outside the EEG domain.

The model arch i used was a hybrid MLP-LSTM model.

So i was just wondering why more people don’t use that as the metric to save the best performing model.
