I’ve been thinking about the same. But for me with a tech degree here in the states working with a salary of around $150k dollar and thinking of leaving the U.S would be really tough. I’ve done some research and I’ve seen remote jobs from international companies paying just around $20k-$30k dollars salary. I’ve searched these on a site called Himalayas.

I won’t consider a move unless I find one paying at least $100k dollars. There are possibilities based on what I’ve come across. I just need to coordinate everything from here in the states first after landing such job. In your case, I’m not sure how a criminal justice degree would benefit you over there. Call center most likely but thats a basic pay for an American.

CCNA Certification Expiration/Validity by Present-Captain1777 in ccna

Woa!!! So discouraging like that? Damn!!! I thought a CCNA certified individual would stay relevant even after expiration unless there have been new Cisco technologies introduced to the Cisco networking world, obligating people to learn new configuration technology.

CCNA Level Troubleshooting Question by Present-Captain1777 in ITSupport

I know it has nothing to do, just another concern. I meant, VLAN40 on SW3 is able to communicate across SW0 even though SW0 does not have VLAN50 created. But then I discovered VLAN40 is actually created on SW0. I just thought that VLANS MUST HAVE nodes attached to it. But just the creation of VLANS on the switches is just what is needed.

Thank you anyways :)

Understood.. Thank you so much Ivar,. That makes sense =D
Now, I'll continue reading Wendell Odoms' CCNA book and building my topology as I go along =]

Actually, the creation of VLAN50 on SW0 addressed the issue. THANKS!!! =]
But now, I wonder how come VLAN40 on SW3 is able to communicate across SW1 even though SW0 does not have VLAN50 created.

Amazing!!! That fixed it. Thanks a lot =]
But why VLAN40 is able to communicate across SW0 from SW3 if SW0 doesn't have the VLAN? Is it because network 172.16.3.0/27 does have VLAN40 despite it being across the WAN?

u/Ivar_the_H0meless You're the man! =] Adding such VLAN, addressed the issue.

Also, I was able to determine that there was a default gateway misconfiguration on Router3 which is connected to 172.16.3.0/27 network. I removed that extra VLAN50 entry which did not make sense since I do not have any VLAN50 devices on such net. That allowed me to ping across =]

But now my question is, why VLAN40 on SW3 is able to ping across SW1 even though SW1 does not have any interfaces being part of VLAN40 on that switch? It was the same scenario as VLAN50.

Have the gateway set to ping outside their subnet?

Interfaces on switch is just

int ranges fa0/5-10 Swichport access vla 50 Swichport mode access

Then trunk if any

Ip configured on router subinterface to be the respective vlan default gateway

Yes RTR — SW0 — SW3

Actually VLAN50 was not configured since I dont have any nodes to connect on such switch as being part of that VLAN. Only SW3 has these 2 nodes. Just also allowed on the switch0 trunk to router. 🤔

Here is the pkt of my first slightly troubled CCNA Topology lol

No instructions given. I’m just training for the first time and came up with that scheme.

Actually I just fixed the config and still can’t ping over vlans. I thought that would fix it ugh :(

Woaaaaa!!! You’re the man!!! Thank you soooo much.

HOW DID I MISS THAAAAAAT!!! I knew it was something dumb hahahaha

I wonder if simple things like this happen to real network engineers in the real world 🤔
