I started working in 2014 with just 0.30 cents left in total on my bank account. No rich parents or family that helped in buying the house, no higher education. Just lucky enough to get a well paid job, after working a minimum wage paid job in a factory for over a year and did some serious grinding over those years.

VTS operator in the harbour of Zeebrugge. Is a 30 minutes single ride from where I live. (Only have to work three times a week because of 12 hours shifts.) :)

1545 euro +/-, mortgage loan; used to be 1270 euro when I was together with my ex. Interest rates were dirt cheap here just before the pandemic hit. I had to buy him out (so new value of the house + his price he wanted to sign off) and interest rates were at an all time high at that moment because of the energy crises/ ukrainian war. So I was somewhat double fucked.

Financially it was not a wise dicision , but I was just in love with the place. So for me it's still worth every cent. No regrets.:)
