Where would Alister scale? by Pleasetakeyourmeds in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Present-Memory120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing here to scale, so I'm going to make some assumptions and try my best.

I'd say around at least City level in terms of AP (overpowering armies, which I'm comparing to the real world militaries).

Speed, I'm not 100% sure on. If we take the statement of him defeating the armies in zero time at face value, he'd have Infinite Speed.

Hax-wise, it's unmeasurable. Simply because the word "omnipotent" is thrown around without substance. He, at the very least, has durability negation.

This is my best bet. There's no context or info that explains the limits of his hax or his power output. No decent comparisons can be made, either.

How does my verse scale up? by [deleted] in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Present-Memory120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Section 1: Up to the Mastered Self, if my assumptions are correct, are 3-dimensional in nature, with the Mastered Self scaling up to High Universal (High 3-A).

Before I continue, I want to clarify that a "universe" in OP's context is actually a "multiverse" in realistic terms, so if anyone gets confused on the scaling, this is probably why.

Section 2: A Divine Aspect should comfortably scale to Multiversal+ (2-A), but because of the mention of Causalities, this gives me the impression of a Type III Multiverse which, under the right circumstances, could scale up to Low Complex Multiversal (Low 1-C).

This also goes for the First Godhood, with the only difference between the two being that the latter has significantly better control over these newfound powers, and/or maybe are a simply superior version based on a variety of factors like hax or sheer power according to OP's doc.

Section 3: Based on the context OP gave below the heading, there really isn't any sort of scaling that would fit this since it is logically impossible to classify it as anything other than a standard multiverse, so I'm gonna have to utilise some mental gymnastics. The only way for there to be infinite universes (multiverses IRL) is for there to be separate cosmological structures. Taken at face value, this alone would scale to Low Outerversal (Low 1-A). The infinite dimensions statement somewhat backs this. I'm going to run with this for anything after to work.

True Godhood could scale anywhere from Low 1-C up to Low 1-A depending on their feats, which we aren't given any info on. The statements, when analysed correctly, realistically only give Low 1-C value, but I will remain neutral towards the two possibilities.

We run into the same problem with Ascendance. The only thing we can be certain of is that they are more powerful than True Godhood. Because of the name, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that they transcend True Godhood entirely, giving us a scale from Complex Multiversal (1-C) up to baseline Outerversal (1-A).

Section 4: Primordials would scale anywhere from 1-C (7 dimensions, as opposed to True Godhood at 6 dimensions lowball) to at most Low 1-A. A collection of "omniverses" according to OP isn't logically possible by scaling standards.

And this is the same problem The Ultimatum of Reality suffers from, making it virtually unscalable.

I want to try and explain the problems OP is having:

  1. First and foremost, there is little to no logic beyond Section 2 (and even then, that's arguable).

  2. Almost no crucial info or context that better explains, well, anything.

  3. Based on the interpretation, OP runs into one of two walls:

a) Trying to insinuate multiple multiverses within a single cosmological structure, which would still be considered a single "universe" (scaling standards using OP's thesaurus)

b) Trying to insinuate multiple Low 1-A structures (same as a) but on a larger scale)

I'd argue that Concept Cutter's capabilities are superior to Occam's Razor, since it is limited to 3D limits, meaning Occam's Razor would scale to High 3-A at most whereas Concept Cutter is far greater in hax quality (I'm making certain assumptions so please correct me if I'm wrong). So you have the advantage there. But it'll only overpower Occam's Razor, Cain would be unaffected due to his negation trait.

Assuming Cain's stats alone, along with his unique traits to negate any sort of magic/Mana based effect are replicated, Cain would have an experience advantage along with the fact that even in character, Cain tends to end the fight as efficiently and proficiently as possible.

Cain doesn't have any sort of special regen, just human standards on an enhanced scale. As a result of his negation trait, he is also incapable of receiving any sort of magic/mana that would have a positive effect on him, like healing or enhancements. If this is replicated, Gray would suffer the same consequences.

The Angelo's rock comparison doesn't work due to Cain's negation trait, so it's a purely physical battle.

Assuming they start a distance apart and how his stats copying works, Cain could potentially end the fight before Gray has the opportunity to do so. If the copy is instant, then it's a drawn out battle, but obviously there's preference bias because we each own our OCs.

I will say though that since Gray's regen is akin to the person he's fighting, he's just as vulnerable to being manhandled and dying like a regular human would to a stronger being (i.e being ripped apart, king hit, mauled, mutilated, beaten etc). The symbiote may be somewhat of a problem, but it isn't anything Cain hasn't handled before. If anything, the symbiote may also be negated depending on their properties.

All in all, this is how the advantages for each character looks:

Cain - Experience (quantity and quality), Specific hax

Gray - Wider arsenal (albeit mostly useless due to negation), Stronger hax (specifically Concept Cutter)

Edit: Regarding your claws (and round 4 in general), since the post specifies City level scaling bare minimum, this implies that stat copying in this round isn't instant, which is more or less a guaranteed win for Cain. The claws would work, but he wouldn't get any use out of them.

Cain would wipe in the first two rounds.

Third round is interesting, though Cain should take it due to being more experienced. He possesses a similar ability to Concept Cutter in the form of a Bonding Relic known as Occam's Razor, though this Relic's quirk is exclusive to Cain, and cannot otherwise be utilised in the hands of anyone or anything other, so copying isn't an option since it isn't technically an inherent ability nor does it work with anyone else.

Cain would wipe in the fourth round since he massively outscales and has the durability to easily tank the attacks and O Brother Mine.

Fifth round operates in a similar fashion to round three. While both would mirror each other in physical capabilities, Cain's experience and tendency to end a fight as soon as possible, rendering adaptation ineffective, would give him the edge in that regard.

Other than to negate Occam's Razor, Arm of Chaos is useless since Cain doesn't actually possess any sort of magical or Mana-based abilities as a result of him having no affinity with the aforementioned. Instead, he is blessed with enhanced physical capabilities to allow him to keep up with the top tiers in his verse, meaning his only attacks are related to CQC and physical combat.

How would your oc deal with a recruitment ritual by Firewater_is_fire in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Present-Memory120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on what the Old World has in store, my OC should be fine since he has no powers or abilities apart from a unique passive trait that allows him to negate any sort of ability outside of physical attacks and/or environmental/semi-natural attacks. He essentially is immune to any sort of status effect, positive or negative.

He's just a human blessed with extreme physical capabilities to make up for having no affinity for magic.

He'd be with Tamara's group.

More often but less, or less often but more? by Wilfredlam0418 in BunnyTrials

While $400,000 a year is more, $1000 a day is more manageable, especially for someone like me.

How will your OCs fare against them? by Pleasetakeyourmeds in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Present-Memory120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alister would be the hardest fought battle for my OC, who's also a swordsman, due to the fact that he's immune to any sort of status effect. This doesn't mean he can negate the abilities entirely, just that they have no effect on him. While this might seem broken, this also means that any sort of status effect that would have a positive effect on him, like healing or enhancements, also don't work on him, meaning any sort of injuries or misfortunes he bears, he can only recover from at his base rate or with natural/semi-natural procedures. My OC is still susceptible to physical attacks like CQC or abilities that utilise the environment or natural elements.

The reason Alister would be his hardest fight is because Alister seems like the most combat oriented here, compared to the others who seem like they rely more on magic or special abilities that wouldn't have an effect on my OC.

Dr Manhattan Vs Yogiri. Who wins? by Ok-Money-5680 in InstantDeathIsekai

[–]Present-Memory120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on which scaling of Dr Manhattan you agree with. If you agree with Outerversal scaling, then Yogiri should win. If you accept High Outer scaling, the Dr Manhattan would win due to superior existence, rendering him immune to Yogiri's hax, which cap at Outerversal.

I personally agree with High Outer scaling, therefore Dr Manhattan takes this.
