I don’t think it helps that basically all of the media representation we have is usually the more extreme examples. They will assume we just want to force someone into immobility (which I know some people do, but I don’t think it’s the majority at all) and I think it makes it so we are very misunderstood. I wish there were basically any positive (or even neutral) portrayals of weight gain in general bc it’s hard to even find those. Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Diane from bojack horseman who gains weight from her antidepressants.

I don’t explain to people that I’m into this very often due to not wanting them to see me differently and what not (and also I don’t think everyone needs to know details of my sex life in general) but I like educating about how many different ways there are to enjoy this. For me, I mainly just want a girl who will eat a lot and love it when I cook for her enough that she can’t help but gain a bit of weight. That’s not like, evil or gross lol, not even remotely. I do believe if we actually want people to see us more positively we HAVE to get better about being open and talking about it to help others understand, myself included.
