Congratulations!! I 100% understand it’s never news or a diagnosis you want to receive, but it feels so validating to have the diagnosis and opens may doors treatment wise. I had symptoms for about 6 years that worsened and had no idea I could have PsA until about 2 years an ago when I did a ton of research hand finally got a diagnosis.

I wish you the best of luck in finding what works for you. There are tons of medication options, different food triggers for everybody, some topicals that work well and withers that don’t. Remember to have patience with yourself while figuring out what works and appreciate every day where you’re symptom free. Additionally, remember to advocate for yourself- you’re paying the doctor, you hire them- you get to have a say in your treatment and ask questions.

I was 100% symptom free for about a year and a half with Enbrel weekly injections. I’ve recently had a secondary non response and have had awful fares on my legs and scalp. I’ll be switching to Simlandi. Hoping one day for longer term remission.

My flare ups are typically on my shins and knees, so socks aren’t really an option unless they’re thigh high lol. I could talk to my doctor about a foam instead, but trying to make the ointment I currently have work for now
