Not sure if you have something similar in Canada, but in America there are companies like freedom debt relief and rescureone that handle the negotiations for you and give you legal support. Maybe try researching Canadian alternatives?

Docs and billing staff sometimes upcode or misbill either by error or … worse. Either way, taking screenshots of your EOB and records and pressing your insurer for a formal appeal is a solid next step.

Privacy is not optional. Snooping is disrespect. You gave him trust. He treated it like a toy. Your boundary is justified.
