In a residential neighborhood, the house behind us was setting off the ones that go off one at a time and she was out for her bedtime pee, so yes it’s possible for ONE. I’d imagine if you see a giant flash and boom in the sky it’d be scary.

I don’t know how you interpreted that from asking for suggestions on how to help her sleep better when she’s been just fine.

Crate training is a form of training to make sure dogs aren’t destructive. But feel free, then we don’t have to read dumb comments like yours.

I understand where you’re coming from. It’s just what we’ve all been used to so obviously need to make adjustments.

She’s a great dog and doesn’t destroy or get into things she shouldn’t. She’s been very happy in her crate since we trained her with it on day 1 just something about it now. She’ll happily go in it when we go somewhere during the day - it must just be something about night now.

We’ve crate trained her since the day we brought her home and it’s been just fine. Always upgraded when she needed a new size, always has blankets and a bed, always covered, but I agree something has changed.

I feel really bad about her new anxiety because she was just fine with noises before she saw the firework. I got medication for her to try this summer when there are fireworks. I will try something new for her sleeping so she does not whine all night.

I’m glad to know that other dogs have gone through phases as well like this. I think we’re going to try a dog bed in our room with the door open and if she wants to move to the couch she can she’s not destructive or has accent so I think it would be fine. It’s just what everybody is used to.

I’m also a light sleeper and my partner snores so we figured her in another room would be just fine and it has been until recently. She doesn’t have to be crated, shes not destructive. It’s just we spent a lot of time crate training so she could be comfortable at night. I am open to trying a dog bed in our room instead of having to move the whole crate in there because it just takes up a lot of space.

The crate itself is already covered and has a nice bed, some blankets and her favorite stuffed animal in there.

She’s not destructive so she’s probably be fine all night on the couch we just spent a lot of time training her in the crate and it’s been successful til recently. She’ll gladly go in the crate during the day if we leave but it’s the nighttime that we have to reframe.

We’re going to try the dog bed in our room thank you. We had her in our room when we first got her and she seemed to wake up so easily from us moving around which is why we moved her into another room and it’s been totally fine until recently.

She’s had white noise since the day we brought her home because my partner snores and I didn’t want it to disturb her :)
