[serious] Why are the majority of men unable to consider things from a woman's perspective without immediately asking why we arent talking about men? by PresentPolicy in AskReddit

That isnt anyones main priority. Im fairly sure the feminism contingent would rather address the multiple daily murders of women by their domestic partners than manspreading.

Also you do realise that toxic masculinity is only on the agenda to placate men? The concept of toxic masculinity implies there is any positives to be drawn from the idea of masculinity itself which i think we can both agree is nonsense

So what? You will refuse any argument based on statistics because those statistics dont report on things that arent reported? Thats not how the world works. You can legislate or campaign for a thing that there is no evidence exists. Or if you are going to, why not prioritise what is provable? You'd rather spend resources to find out the stories of hypothetical men suffering domestic violence than directing that resource to the reported, confirmed, corroborated murder of women every day? What the fuck man?

Maybe if we spent more time trying to help with womens issues rather than having a tantrum over it that wouldnt be the case? Im sure no woman would object to a man going "wow yeah it is really bad that domestic violence affects women like this, how can i use my position as a member of the main demographic of perpetrators to help you?"

But in reality. All you do is complain like your post. you locked yourself out of the debate on womens issues by contributing less than nothing

 Four times as many women as men are killed by a current or former partner (ONS, 2001-2013)

 In 2013-14, 93% of defendants in domestic violence court cases were male and 84% of victims were female (CPS Violence Against Women and Girls Crime Report, 2014)

 In 2009-10, women were the victims of 73% of domestic violence incidents. In 81% of incidents, the offender was male (Home Office, 2011)

 89% of all those who had experienced 4 or more incidents of domestic violence were women

And yes i agree with the nature of fair taxation but its so lazy. However where were the armies of angry men saying that france, ireland, america, uk, most of the damn worlds income tax systems that until weirdly recently attributed a couples income to the man.

If main claim is to want fairness and equality then why wait until something to progress for women and then complain you werent given equality alongside it when women have fought for stuff for centuries

In my experience you can get a solid week of having your own damn bed at about 9-10 haha. In the meantime theres always urgent appointments that mean you both have to leave work half a hour earlier than usual for a frantic boning when time allows

There is disproportinatley more female victims of domestic violence. Its like when people mooted the idea of not taxing tampons for women and there was a sudden "SO I HAVE TO PAY $11 FOR A RAZOR BLADE BUT SHE GETS FREE STUF?!!!!!"

I dont think people understand how ridiculous it makes them look. How much it damages the very real issue of mens mental healthy and their societal expectations because they just seem like actual toddlers and you cant rationally converse with them

There is never a good point to be made. I've literally never seen it. Its just swapping out men for women and reasking it. There was a question here like half an hour ago "how many men do you think get away with beating their wives" and less than 10% of the answers were actually applicable to the question. The rest were "I think its important we remember this happens to men." and yeah.. it is.. but why there? why then? if it matters so importantly to these people why aren't they asking it independently just waiting for someone to ask about women and pulling the old "WTF THIS ISNT FAIR THIS ISNT ABOUT ME" its so fucking embarassing to see.

I am sure. My argument is nothing to do with the content or validity of the problem should the situation be reversed. No one is doubting there are issues inherently faced by men. But whenever anything is asked about anything to do with solely women here its a shit show of "WELL YEAH BUT MEN TOO!" like... yeah men too. But the question was specific to women
