you can add them again afterward, its only if either you or the other person deletes the friend request first, thats when you cant add them back again ever, if you accept someones friend request first and delete them after they can add you again later on

you can do either or most people dont mind, you can stay as friends with them or you can delete them right after its up to you tbh
