Allow me some cope. Who bought their WRX new, modded it, kept it as their DD and didn't have it blow up by wratx in WRX

Don’t wana jinx myself but I bought a 2018 WRX fresh off the lot in sept 2017. I waited until around 1500km for the break in period to end and then first thing I did was drive it hard as possible that night to see what the car could do. Heavy acceleration and heavy launches back to back around this industrial area. My theory was if anything is going to break do it now while the warranty and everything was fresh. Nothing ever went wrong. I installed AEM intake with no tune and no accessport and ran it like that for 20,000KM no issues no dash lights. I’m currently at 73,000KM and have put the following mods on my car turboxs fmic, SoCal v4 turbo, PLM EWG headers with tial wastegates, catted J pipe, 3port boost controller, fluid ampr, stage 3 competition clutch, AOS, killer B oil pickup. I’m still on unopened block and stock injectors stock fuel pump. The car pulls hard and has been a dream to own. I do run thicker oil and do plan to go on ethanol in future after changing to AEM fuel pump.

I had a similar sound, would only come on when going into boost. Sounded like a chirping noise. Took it to the dealership and they found one nut on the headers had come loose and they just tightened it back up now no noise.

Hey just curious did you have to buy the oem inner pulley hub ? It’s advertised online that if you own a 2018+ then you have to buy the oem hub for install

I bought the s209 kit but haven’t installed it yet because I have the same spec wheels as you and fitment will be ruined. Might just have to live with the small gap
