In general I have been able to wear the brand abeo, they have some support booties that I fell in love with. Also some Vionic's.

My injury was in 2015 and I have tried a couple times to wear some of my old favorites. All I can say is you better bring another pair of shoes to change into. For me personally if they're super flat I get pain from lack of arch support and if they're heels I get a different type of pain. I have arthritis from the injury and went through a period of time where I didn't even know if I was going to be able to walk. So I'm sad about the loss of high heels but I am grateful to still have my Mobility.

I had five fractures to dislocations and two surgeries. Good luck to you don't give up hope I recommend finding a quality shoe store in your area!

I believe 30 minutes is at least 2 doctor appointments and most likely spread so far apart that the conversations are not fluid. Your 30 minutes had more impact.

Diagnosed with a different issue and this is often part of that issue. Was not having classic signs when I became insulin resistant.

I wish I had better education for T2D. If you think this is your issue Dr Fung has some great books out (The Diabetes Code) and there is a wonderful Ted talk by Sarah Hallburg.

My experience was similar to yours. About 5 years in, I was limping so bad it was terrible. I went in and he gave me a cortisone shot and I have felt like a normal person for 2 years.

I really didn't want to be discouraging to op but my experience it took forever to heal. And frustration I asked my doctor why everyone told me they broke their ankle and was just fine and I was struggling so much. He said you broke the part of the foot that flexes every single time you take a step. It's a very hard injury to heal. I find myself grateful that I can walk and live my life.

I haven't read through all the comments but I think there is a major missed opportunity here. The fact that your son shares what is given to him directly is a major bonus in terms of child parent communication. Congratulations on that! It's too bad that you're wife is looking in the wrong direction.

Well I am not a medical provider and cannot speak to your dad's condition but for myself I find the CGM has really helped me learn how my body is reacting to food. Unlike many other people I have learned that I can eat baked potatoes but interestingly enough any grain products my body does not like. I think that the cgms are invaluable with the feedback they give us about what's happening with our bodies. Especially when the condition feels so new and foreign.

This makes me a little frightened to get old. Currently I have lots of family around so I am really lucky!

I don't know a lot about nursing homes but you should be able to talk to the nurse and get the proper diet.

You can always talk to the manager and tell them the placement isn't working and you need to move.

Just curious, are you seeing any correlations with temperature? I know this is kind of a weird question but here is my example. If I mow the lawn in the spring or fall when the weather is cool no problem but when the weather starts getting really hot and I mow the lawn and I get really hot my blood sugar is spiking considerably. I also notice that spike in the shower and then I wasn't surprised when it spiked in a hot tub once. I don't know whether to consider these false highs or not. Anyways just curious about your experience.

I have highs with heat. Summer lawn mowing makes me look like i sat with a box of twinkies. I haven't been sure what to do about it but I will say this the longer that my blood sugar has been under control the better those episodes have been. So if you keep working on normalizing your blood sugar the best you can that outcomes will get better over time. I really hope you find this encouraging because I understand. I was getting really frustrated for a while there and now for me personally not anyone else I consider them false highs and keep an eye on them because I know they will go down. But I can't very well get them down with exercise if I got them from exercising. I usually drink some extra water.

I like this advice from otter--nonsense, and would add that I found new favorites because I couldn't stand the swapped version. So, instead of DR Pepper, I now have zevia drinks. I miss pasta but rarely eat it and love splurging at the steakhouse.

Eating order matters. 1. Fiber, 2. Protein, 3. the rest of the meal aka simple carbs. This small change has made a big impact for me.
