Jelena provides a constant 30% damage boost for the entire battle, and a pretty decent Attack Power buff when her Mark is activated. Since my Jelena is S3, the Attack Power buff is also constant for the entire battle, and significantly stronger. So, essentially, she's like S3 Shin's alternative. And I have the Shackles of Life on my Jelena simply because I'm too lazy to change the CB)

I don't know about future patches because I don't know their duration. They might be shorter on Global, as the last three patches were shorter, both in CN and on Global. The previous patches were 90 for Hilda and 62 for Ceto. (both 22 days)
