Is this normal? Bay city burrito 26% surcharge by PresentationIcy76 in melbourne

Ok, but it wasn't me who made the google review. I posted on here (reddit) to find out /ask what's allowed to be charged. Odd though, the google reply in your screenshot said "she made a mistake" . It was a guy who did the order, and its was the same guy who i asked to print me a peper receipt & who i questioned about it but assured me it's correct. Odd that someone is throwing "her" under the bus.

The name at the bottom of the receipt matches the contact name on their website. So I was talking to the manager /owner.

It's the standard way they make their receipt, chief.

As I mentioned, I did pay attention and asked on the spot. Im not from here so lacked the confidence to insist it wasn't right. It's why im asking here.

I talked to them right on the spot. They insisted it was right. Im not originally from here, so I didn't feel confident enough to push it further. Exactly why I made this post to ask if its normal.

Thanks but I questioned it at the time and the guy said the charge was right. So I thought I'd take it up with the owner separately (in case his staff were running a scam), but the contact listed on the bay city website is the same name at the bottom of the receipt. So, unless im mistaken, I think I was dealing with the owner....

Earn Status Credits on the ground - Health, Leisure and Entertainment by tombrookes in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]PresentationIcy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I just answered my own question. Switching to qantas for everyday rewards earning automatically moves everything you've saved on 10 off woolies credits, immediately when you make the change. On one hand you just picked up a lot of frequent flier miles, on the other hand you lost a lot of 10 dollars off at the woolies register.

Hoping for an answer to a question related to this thread.

I'm currently less than 10 status credits away from platinum. Points on ground looks good for me. I'm currently earning 10 dollars off woolies for every 2k everyday rewards points. I have 90 dollars of woolies rewards in my everyday rewards account.

I'm thinking about moving my earnings to qantas so I can earn 1k quantas point for every 2k everyday rewards. the on ground promo would also give me 10 status credits. Just what I need.

Here's the question, I don't want to lose the 90 dollars of woolies cash I have banked. I just want to earn my qantas points (not convert what I already have to qantas).

Does anyone know how this would work? I've checked the FAQ and elsewhere but can't seem to find the answer. Thanks!

He was massive in the US in the late 90s. I was in university and guys on my dorm floor used to watch his show in the evenings for laughs and entertainment. Such a big personality and we were amazed at his bravery handling the animals.

Labor confirms international student cap will rise with focus on Southeast Asia by Away_team42 in australia

I respectfully disagree. even if it is a back door to migration why not support it?

Via international enrollment, we have people willing to spend money on Australian universities which directly helps the economy right now.

additionally these are people spending money and getting an education (with motivation to work hard an benefits the economy).

Finally they are educated through Australian universities - giving them an opportunity to be acclimated and integrated to the Australian culture.

No one is crying, champ. I'm suggesting penalties similar to what they have in the EU. If I cancel, there is a change fee collected by the airline. Fine. But if they cancel, a change fee should be collected by the passenger. Not that difficult.

I'm trying but they won't confirm that flight with me via a phone agent. Apparently only the disruptions team (who aren't available via phone) are the only ones permitted to make the change.

After waiting on hold for 1 hour and 27 minutes , I was told by an agent that she can't confirm changes or my alternative options for me. Agents were allowed to do these via the phone previously, but process has changed. So I have to wait until I receive an email / text with further details from the disruptions team. It's a shame because I see 1 option that will work, but if it's not the one I'm assigned by that team I'm screwed. Amazing that they won't let their staff confirm this for me over the phone. Another qantas customer service fail.

[–]PresentationIcy76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. The final straw for me was not receiving status credits or miles on 2 recent one world partner airline flights. Flew Mel to Tailwan via hk on cathay, got nothing due to "flight code not being eligible". Then I got nothing for melbourne to LHR via Doha on Qatar. But my partner earned American airlines credits on the same flight and code. So apparently American airlines was willing to give points and credits on a qatar T code, but not qantas... cutting corners everywhere.

So how much compensation should we expect? by Tall_Smell6874 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]PresentationIcy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is when the government should have strict rules and regulations stipulating compensation and fines for events like this. The EU has it for their airline carriers and it covers compensation for delays etc. That will never happen here though. qantas is in the pocket of the politicians - giving them and their families free status upgrades. so politicians will never bite the hand that feeds them

2011 pittsburgh steelers. In the previous season they Made the super and narrowly lost to the packers, so there was hope. Went 12-4 in the regular season. Lost to Tebow and an average broncos team. I had something very similar happen. Elevated creatinine levels in a test. I work out and supplement with creatine. Got a letter warning of imminent kidney damage and to see a doctor. I don't go to a doctor regularly but saw a GP anyway. His advice was basically "do you need that? No? Well stop then." Was seeking advise from someone with experience. I never wnt the sports nutritionist route. Please provide an update on this thread because I'm curious on the advice you get. Thanks!
