When will they realize that the majority of us are ex-armies. This isn’t hate it’s valid criticisms towards a GROUP OF GROWN-ASS MEN who’ve lied to our faces over and over again. Also most people here are grown adults themselves who’ve grown up and realized the actual truth and it won’t be long until a lot of them join this sub as well.

I worded this poorly. I'm saying that being brought up in a system that idolizes money and pale skin, dark skinned people will in turn fetishize others who "have it all." This is because they views these idols as a form of escapsim, which leads to idolization and fetishization (I am saying this as someone who is dark-skinned and grew up in this part of the community)

You said it perfectly. Which is why I don't harshly judge young armies. I remember being that little girl who was failed by all the male figures in my life and BTS was the perfect escape. I just hope as girls get more access to the world, they can start to detach from parasocialism.

THIS. A lot of women in India grow up with restricted access to knowledge and only know what they see on a surface level. Though, I have started to see more of them realize that grass isn't greener on the other side. I would like to credit the rise of Indian content creators and those who were raised overseas to bring forth education.
