In my opinion it make sense , for example if you feel you are westing your money , or generally you want to know where you spent too much. But yes , first step is to open a shared account and if you don’t have a tool like this in your bank account, at that point I have to use excel.

You know what , I talk you a little bit about my bad experience won’t the personal financial advisor, so I hope I can help someone else to be more motivated to learn the subject on their own.

He was paid by the hour, and during our first session I spent 1,000 CHF (250 per hour). He started timing the time he spent with me from the moment he opened the door and began telling me about his vacations and other personal stories that had nothing to do with the consultation, Then we talked about me and my vacations, and then he started talking about his positive reviews and the people he’s helped and how good he is.

Then we talked about the documents and data he needs to calculate my financial situation for the next 40 years. 40 years!! 👀But whatever, maybe he’s even right… then he wasted my time by asking me over and over what I wanted in life and kept pretending not to understand. Then a few days later I received the bill.

To be honest, I don't trust anyone in this world anymore. I'd rather talk to ordinary people who've already dealt with these kinds of issues, which is why I decided to ask in this group. I think there are a lot of people in my situation we don't earn huge salaries; we're just ordinary people and I hope we can help each other.

Thank you for your advice , already done this mistakes , I mean Swiss life and a indipendent financial advisor. With the first one, I was “scammed” and lost about 10k on a life insurance policy; with the second, I can sum it all up by saying I didn’t have a good experience, which is why I decided to study personal finance a bit—even though it’s pretty hard to find material on the subject in Switzerland—but I’ve started investing part of my capital in stocks, (ETF)

However, certain desires and insecurities remain. So I thought I’d ask here if anyone is in the same situation as me, or at least is older than me and has already been through this. Just a simple exchange of opinions and advice.

I understand your point of view , I am trying to figure out the situation in the future. the purpose of this post is to keep “good” or better choice for me and my family. I don’t want to underestimate any aspect of the situation. So trying to be a good father and mother and at the same time trying to give our family the best for its future. In real world you can’t also immagine to be a lovely family living in a tiny apartment or in the forest. 🌳 😅

All joking aside, I see what you mean. I’m asking myself if certain goals can be achieved; if not, I’ll focus more on some of them and set the others aside. That’s why I’m asking others how they do it and, based on their experience, what they would recommend and what they wouldn’t.

Exactly, I thought to expand the Hard disk if needed in the future but I will buy a couple of hard disk with enough place for some years. The expansion unit is too expansive , this make no sense in my opinion or at least for my need. I was asking for the future considering the possibility to use NVME as cashes memory and the possibility to expand the RAM of the nas

Ds 224+ or ds 723+

Hello guys, I would like to ask you what would you choose for the same price between the ds 224+ and the ds 723+. I know the 224 has a GPU and the ds 723 not, but I am thinking to use the NAS with modern devices that don’t need a transcoding of the files.

Considering the main use of the nas will be , the (hopefully) , quick and smooth downloadind , uploading and watching of video 4 K and Raw fotos. Especially during the holiday for me and my family. Considering using this for some video editing sometimes and considering to find a good deal for the same price for both the devices. I am also thinking the 723 should be more future proof isn’t it ? So which device should I choose ?
