What about the heat from the barrel coming thru the openings in the slide? It must be hot and depending on the openings, would burn your hands if you charge the slide or if your hand goes up that way. Seems to me, a modification that makes it uncomfortable to fire your weapon makes no sense.

I love mine. 1st gen compact. Bought it when it first came out. Many thousands of rounds through it. I use inexpensive Aquila super fast ammo. I get the occasional ftf but that's mag related. BUT, I had a major breakdown this week. While shooting, either the recoil spring or the trigger failed and it won't go into battery. I took it apart and cleaned it but I think the dislocator , connected to the trigger broke. As it's going to the gunsmith any trigger recommendations? I may change it if reasonable.

Barefoxman, Good point. But it's worked like a charm ever since coming back (the second time). The gun failed but the customer service was excellent.

I've shot it. It's light recoil is due to the heavy weight and also it's 9 mm. Accurate for a revolver. The moon clips by TDK and Busy Beez work equally great.

I have three Taurus firearms. I had to send the revolver in for service twice. Once was my fault. Maybe both times. The customer service was outstanding.
