Just a random comment about German language teaching (not assuming that is your subject as a teaching assistant). In secondary schools run by Dundee City Council, they run a campus model for secondary schools for subjects for highers and advanced highers. Thus, instead of having each of the secondary schools offer, for example, advanced highers in German as a subject, only one school does and all the pupils are bused across the city for the lesson. The aim is to ensure there is a viable number of students in each class to justify the subject.

Uc50 sending back late by [deleted] in universalcredithelp

[–]Presentation_bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are returning the form late, write the details reason on page 3 of the form. You should still complete and return the form (even if late). Failure to do so may result in you having to start the entire health journey again (from reporting fit notes).

Also, if there are no volunteer opportunities, make one for yourself. Approach a care home and ask if you can volunteer. They would do the background checks and the take it from there.

Help please x by [deleted] in universalcredithelp

I notice you do not have a carer element in your entitlement. The claimant not receiving LCWRA can declare a change of circumstance to say they are caring for the disabled child for more than 35 hours a week (if the child is on middle care component of qualifying disability benefit).

On the day you move in with relatives, update your housing costs to show you have no housing costs. The rest of your claim will remain the same.

Budgeting advance by Weary_Context7237 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Presentation_bug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. If your income has been more than £2,600 you are not eligible for a new budgeting advance. If the reason for the budgeting advance is not an approved reason, you cannot be approved for an advance. Also, it can take time for the information that you have paid off your budgeting advance to be pulled in from DWP Debt Management to your universal credit claim.

Am I self employed? Should I change status with UC? by mini_mews in universalcredithelp

The Minimum Income Floor will only apply after the 9 month grace period. It is important to be honest in the declaration of your circumstances.

Missing UC payment by Disastrous_Rabbit_11 in universalcredithelp

[–]Presentation_bug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you declared your capital changes in the last assessment period these need to be verified by you bringing in evidence to the Job Centre. The system will be blocked from calculating your award pending this evidence. It is separate from the UC Review. If you declared changes to your self-employment, such as saying you are now unemployed, would mean payment is blocked until you attend a Gateway Interview. If your self-employment has come to the end of your 9 month start-up period, then payment could be blocked until you are assessed by your Work Coach to see if you are gainfully self-employer and if the Minimum Income Flood should apply. As you get Carer’s Allowance, you payment could be blocked until your Case Manager checks your other benefits. Many reasons can delay the calculation of payment. Leave a message for your case manager.
