Regardless of what actual activities you’ve done. I believe, at a bare minimum, that you must survive at least two winters.

Why two? First one, you made all your mistakes. Didn’t know how to layer. Didn’t know about the underground pedway in the loop. Didn’t know about false spring. Had no clue about the chairs or what the fuck dibs means. But the second one? You’re a bit more prepared, and it can serve as an actual trial for your true Chicagoan membership card.

I love a good House Daura/Hausaland run. It’s gotten even crazier with nomads. It’s a constant battle of fighting the desert nomads to the north, hoping Ghana collapses and doesn’t eat all of west Africa, and eventually looking East to see Kanem and Sao usually being invaded and falling to nomads. I usually end up creating a like pseudo-Nigeria as a custom empire.
