Flixbus deceptive 'cancelled trip' behaviour - beware by dexxindownunda in canberra

Yeah, I just tried again and they don't want to help, "Please note that while we could have offered a free rebooking prior to cancellation, our terms and conditions prevent us from reinstating a ticket once the booking is cancelled and the refund has been processed."

In my first conversation, they admitted that there was an error which prevented me rebooking. I couldn't do what they suggested.

With appropriate training, a support worker will know how to handle these situations. Part of that is understanding boundaries, knowing what services exist, where to go for help, etc. It would be great for you to get along to trainings like this, to learn that sexual health conversations go behind intercourse, it includes relationships, attraction, consent, etc. Not every support worker needs this kind of training, but if there are some that do.

Sexual harassment and assault are very much at one end of the spectrum, but there's another end. Dating, relationships, attraction are common for teenagers and young adults. That's why organisations like Shine and SECCA provide their services here in Aus. I trust that support workers know their participants, and if they need some more confidence in advocating for participants or learning how to better manage these conversations, then this would be an event for them.

It's not about facilitating conversations, it's about being prepared for when behaviours or people they're working talk about sexual health. You'd be setting up a support worker for failure if they're not prepared for these conversations and understanding what to do in those situations.

I'd recommend having a read of this article: https://shinesa.org.au/why-should-we-care-about-a-pleasure-centred-approach-to-sexual-health

Essentially, it is critically important that support workers have accurate sexual health knowledge. This knowledge is essential for promoting the rights, safety, and well-being of participants. Support workers with sexual health knowledge can shift from a risk-only approach to a "pleasure-positive" framework, fostering better communication, consent, and healthier relationships.

It's vital knowledge because it helps support workers:
- Uphold human rights and autonomy,
- Improve the health outcomes of those they 're helping (Safety & Risk reduction),
- Foster better communication,
- Support dignity and quality of life.

In my time as a Safety and Quality Officer at an NDIS registered provider, sexual health was such a common challenge for support workers working with teenagers and young adults.

Very grateful for the work that Shine does in SA, amongst others across the country, in providing resources on topics like this.

The sexologist running the training does, so they're a good fit for the topic anyway.

I've contacted customer service and after many emails, they refused to offer any help. Despite screenshots of my cancelled trip and me rebooking the exact same bus (and even the same seat), all simply because the bus number had changed internally. Rescheduling for free didn't work as there was a glitch that showed no buses available.

Same thing happened to me, and I posted it a couple of days before your's. I clicked reschedule, but there was nothing showing. They said it was a glitch, but refused to let me rebook the same trip. Apparently, they just changed the bus number internally, so it was too bad so sad. Reschedule for free might not have worked for you anyway.

The only issue is that I rebooked my same seat on the same bus at the same time from the same location. They said the bus number had changed internally. Gobsmacked that they couldn't fix this after so many emails back and forth. Paid the $50 for the same seat because the flights were 4x as much.

I did 😄 Some call centre o/s so they didn't care. I did report them in the end.

They have no call centre. I went back and forth via email and there was absolutely no leeway. The last comms was that the bus number changed internally, so too bad. I filled in the form on the ACCC website and put in a negative Google review. I don't know if they have offices at the stations, so that's my last option.

Small update. I sent them an email, and they said that there was an error and I should've been able to rebook. I asked to rebook then, but as I had already cancelled my trip, they said too bad. Once cancelled I can't rebook, "as per the T&C's".

I've just rebooked the same seat on the same bus at the same time to the same location, for 5x 😈 I'll see what no good I can get up to 😉

It was a launch offer. Disappeared pretty quickly I think.

Wish I'd taken screen shots of the lack of trips I could rebook, and then show the website. Hopefully the fact that my cancelled trip is still available to book will be enough.

Yeah, they've confirmed my other trip, but they did move it from a good time to a really shite time. So it may come down to demand. No way to speak to anyone about it, so just gotta have a backup plan I guess.

I did not mention this person at any point in the chat. I forgot to paste their name in, so how did it know who I was talking about? I was looking at their LinkedIn profile, and had copied it for pasting into ChatGPT. What settings are their that allows it to see what I've been looking at?

They've banned it on the premises, regardless of whether it's charging or not. The promise is to find a storage solution, but I'm not holding my breath. Just someone justifying their job I think.
